Outdoor Shadowbuck's go at an outdoor grow

Thanks maffro! I appreciate ur input. That's what I've been hearing that the TD's are a bit of a long grow and a long show outdoors for autos. This grow will occur just slightly south of lat 50...and germination will be taking place WAY before june. Hoping to be out there by the second week of may...possibly sooner if it appears that nature will allow it. So germination will take place 2-3 weeks'ish' before I'm gambling on making a break for the wilderness. If you don't mind me asking; What were some of ur specs? pots, holes, or bags? I'm having some difficulty deciding on what grow container/type pot/hole to go with. I like the simplicity of poly bags but they worry me for drainage/aeration...especially if I'm gonna be partially or completely burying the bags in holes. I have some 3 gal black hard pots on hand as well (free is always an incentive). We can write off smart pots and air pots as options for this grow (I do love airpots tho) as it would blow my current budget.

EDIT: How big did ur ladies get at ur lat? yield?

LMAO!Ya always thought that was funny.just saw Neo Lebowski.LOL!:smokebuds:

Ah man guys! Bio-dome just came on tv lol...yes! Perfect watching for while I start some new posts here.

STRAINS: (cont.)

#2: Royal Queen Bluematic (autofem) 3pk...ur um yea (see below)
From: Herbie
Price: Free (with my TD order)

Well guys this strain was offered as a freebie at herbies when I bought the TD's. I did a little research on reviews of this strain. Reviews seem to vary wildly but the majority seemed fall into the range of "meh" (ok) to "bleh" (slightly less than ok). It would probably be better suited to an indoor grow as its a smaller dwarfish type of autofem. Most images I have come acrossed look like a lowryder #2 with purple/blue pistils or calyxes (depending on pheno). Havent seen any really FROSTY pics of this strain.

I love me some blueberry (been a while unfortunately), so it will be interesting to see what happens with this one...even if reviews seem to indicate there are better options for a "blueberry" strain out there. If it was up to me I would have liked to have some of DP's blue, but I blew my lil seed wad on the TD's (ya gotta pay to play with good genetics lol). And since they were free; its "C'est la vie." We're gonna keep an open mind, give them a fair shot, and see what happens. They should also finish faster and stay shorter than the TD's. Which means by the time the TD's are coming down the homestretch and requiring a lot of attention, I should (if I'm lucky) have some of this stuff to smoke and help calm the nerves.
These were supposed to have come with my TD's, but instead of 3 free, I only got one. I contacted Herbies yesterday about this. I got to thinking about it... I thought about just sayin forget it; just chalk it up. I questioned if it was really worth the fuss and the wait for two seeds...Well Herbies shot me an email back today (quick) and this is what they said:

"Firstly apologies for the error in the freebies.
We can either include the 3 bluematic with your next order or we can send them now if you prefer. If it is ok to send with your next order please leave us a reminder when you check out in the customer notes/comments box quoting your previous order number."

I replied that I would rather they send them now (super stealth this time), as that's what I would prefer. It just seemed like less hassle to get it over with now rather than look up old order numbers and "re-open" my claims down the road. I will let u guys know when they ship and show up (prolly a week'ish'). :D The one I have now is there on the left in the following pic...

Peace :peace:

Strains: (cont)

#3: Mystery bag seed (1)
From: 1/4 oz street bag
Photoperiod: Unknown

Ok so this one's gonna be a bit of a mystery. Have ya ever come acrossed some stuff totally randomly and just fall in love with it? Well that's what happened here. I loved this stuff. Probably the best stuff (imo) I have ever had...maybe. Top 3 hands down. Maybe not the most potent (it was very, very potent though), but it had excellent taste and was super smooth and super sweet. The taste and smell could only be described as a sweet, sugary, citrusy, fruity, and just a tad sour. Take a drink of a sprite or sierra mist...that's about what it was like. Effect was an extremely pleasant, chilled out head high, and a tad bit of lingering body stone.

Bud structure was 'ok', a little fluffy, but that could be from any number of things (pheno, grower error, nutes, lighting). Trichome production was unlike anything I had seen. Just breaking down a small nug (with scissors) for a personal bowl would leave a large pile of greenish/amber trichomes on whatever surface I was breaking it down on. The bag, once empty, was just spackled with 'chomes everywhere. This stuff was official.

It was the only seed I found in the whole bag. I was outside on the porch, in the dark, doin my thing, breaking down a bud on my phone screen when I suddenly felt something hard. When I flicked my bic to see what it was I was completely shocked to see a nice fat, mature seed. So I went back inside and immediately sealed it up, wrote down all I could think to about the description of the weed, and put it all away for a rainy day.

And when I told the guy I got the bag from about it he was pretty jealous. He had been thru a couple ounces by this time of the stuff and he hadnt found any. He told his dealer (who I think might have grown it) about it and he told me the next day his dealer hadn't found a single one himself. The only thing I can think that would have cause this seed to come to be is from a completely random self-pollination.

So when the time comes we will see if it will germinate and if all goes well I will find it a special home somewhere some what away from the other strains (in case it hermies).

Luckily I saved a couple pics of this weed. Its kinda hard to see the intense trichome production on it as it had quite a bit of protective sugar leaves left on the buds. Even those had a lot of trichomes on them (but nothing compared to what was down in the calyxes). The bud in my hand was the where the seed came from (I didnt know it was in there when I took that pic).
