Mephisto Genetics Seymourbud's Soapbox

Well, the next round is three plants. Thats what my cabinet can hold. So, in no particular order, these will be the three seeds to be sprouted next: Strawberry Nuggets, Bum Wine, and Grape Walker Kush. They are all 65-75 day strains. Right now I have a Strawberry Nuggets, Sour Crack, and a Menage a Tyrone f2 x Double Grape f3 going. They will all be done by the first week of September hopefully.
Nice man. I got 3bears going now at day 46. My next run will be 2 double g. 1 white crack 1 dbc tt. Can't wait to see that bum wine. I'd like to see what they can do

Agree on the Bum Wine. I mean whats not to like, Tyrone Special and Hubbabubbasmelloscope with "...flavors from a piercing berry/grape wine sweetness with a funky fermented nose clearing alcohol vapor."

As for the 3bears, that will be my next purchase. Been on my list, but I always run out of $$ and something has be pushed back to later, and it is always 3bears. But I have seen enough grows and rave reviews about it that I can no longer bear the thought of not having it in my possession. Good luck with your 3 bears, your headed down the home stretch!

Hello fellow AFN'ers, and Welcome to my thread. This is where I will post some pictures and ramblings about what is going on (or growing in) my personal garden. I decided against doing a journal of each plant I grow as I am in the process of trying to simplify my life and not be held hostage anymore by some of the OCD tendencies that controlled me in past few years. Part of my breaking away from those tendencies led me to explore the autoflower world, and I could not be happier that I did. I had become a slave to my garden to the point that it had stopped being fun working in the garden. Growing Mephisto's has given me that joy once again. (Hardly) No fuss, no muss, 80-90 days and you're done. Great genetics, great customer service (I am talking about the Mephisto gang here), great forum and forum members who love and enjoy this hobby of ours. And the best part is there is no drama here. Only like-minded people who are willing to help or encourage other forum members, or just simply admire another forum members work.

I hope this will be the proper place for this kind of "evergreen" thread. I will get off my soapbox for now, but plan to get some new pictures posted in the next few hours of what is growing on in my garden (past and present). All are welcome to enjoy and comment. Thanks!
Seymour, i have been considering doing the same technique

If "doing the same technique" means you are going to simplify your life, well I highly recommend it. I have extra hours in day now that I am not gardening for hour(s) daily. I can more easily plan time away with my family, and the quality of my end product is on par with with what I used to have. And even if it was not, gaining time back in my life is worth the subtle difference in quality. I grow for myself, and I have been perfectly happy with my garden of late!

Actually, i was referring to the journal style, just one perpetual journal. I do understand where your coming from with a simplified life. Family always comes first andthe fact that growing can be overwhelmingly addictive to a good many of us.
But in my case, kids are grown and out inthe world, wife enjoys seeing me grow. Shes turned into a gardening junkie herself but not cannabis. Just grow for myself and I'm not far from retirement. Horticulture is one of mylife long hobbies.
We all have to find some balance in life and the road to finding balance is different for everyone. Sounds like you have priorities in the right order!

Good Morning everyone. I had a few minutes today alone, so I decided to take the girls out into the sun to capture some photos for documentation. I fixed the camera settings this time.

For the most part, there has been nothing about this grow out of the ordinary. I did have some serious nute reaction on one of the girls, but I quickly adjusted and it doesn't seem to have caused any long-term damage other then her outward appearance on her leaves. Just for info-sake, this is a grow being done totally with MC and MC add-ons as well as a few add-ons that were leftover from previous grows. So there is no roadmap to what I am doing when. Since the Strawberry Nuggets is 8 days older, and has had no negative reaction to the feed and schedule that I have been creating and using, I felt it safe to give to her 8 day younger sibling (Menage a Tyrone x Double Grape). Well, I was soon reminded that each plant is its own entity and has to be dealt with as such. I am documenting the nute/feed schedules for each of my girls for future references.

The basis of my feed and feeding schedule is MegaCrop, Sweet Candy, and Bud Explosion. They are all Greenleaf Nutrient products. Other amendments I have been using occasionally (not in every gallon I make), are MammothP, GH CalMag, and Recharge+.

So lets get going with the pictures and notes;

Strawberry Nuggets (Purple Pheno): I have done (for me) some serious training in order to open her up to get some light into the center of the plant. I am trying to avoid larfy popcorn buds. I was shocked at the number of budsites buried in the inside of the plant. I am hoping that the ~30 days I have left are enough to have her fill out those budsites. Right now, she has a non-descript berry aroma that is only there when you jostle her around. She really hasn't gotten any taller, she is just shy of 12". I have done some serious defoliation of the lower fans and inner leaves blocking budsites. While humidity in my cabinet is something I am not too concerned with, I felt opening her up to keep buds from getting budrot was the way to go for me. I am hoping for 1.5 to 2 zee's from this girl.
