Mephisto Genetics Seymourbud's Soapbox

Thanks @nicojellic , it was my best round yet of auto's. The weight and end product were top notch as well. I have quite the selection now of nighttime meds, time to start some sativas or hybrids with higher percentages of sativa. Hopefully Ghost Toof, White Crack, and Sour Hound help with that issue.

Today, the four plants that were harvested in December are at least 5 weeks old in jars and have RH% below 63%. So I decided to do a final weigh since the previous weight (coming from bags going into jars) the buds were still wet; these are the (final) true dry weights.

Gold Glue - 137 grams
Grape Walker Kush - 128 grams
Blue Toof Special - 94 grams
Strawberry Nuggets - 97 grams

Over 1 pound of bud! And I have been sampling like crazy the last several weeks. :smoking:

With @BigSm0 statement that all autocobs bought during BF2017 were of the 60 watt variety (not the 55watt variety that I had thought), the new math works out to:

456 grams of dry buds from 4 plants / 240 watts from 4 autocobs = 1.9 grams per watt. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!

Mephisto genetics, Cobshop autocobs, and Greenleaf nutrients make an average grower look great! Thanks!

Your GWK has me fired up about the one I’m dropping in a couple weeks

Yeah man, perfect numbers. Would be very proud of that! I follow you on the sativa thought, because most of my jars slam me to the ground, while newly harvested 3BOG probably hitting the hardest. Damn that is some heavy stuff..

I got a GWK going just now, few days in. Really looking forward to that one in particular, specially because of your go with it. Very good run you had man, top grower tbh!

Good Morning, so I have been mulling over the decision to cull the Sour Hound because it appears to be stalled. I usually hate to do this as I have had previous runts that produce well enough, and in some cases the resulting meds were excellent. But I don't run continuous any longer, and to me every run needs to have a productive use of the space. I have a lot of Mephisto seeds, probably more then I could run through (at my current pace) in a lifetime. Added to that, I have about 15-25 strains I haven't tried yet. With more releases from Mephisto on the horizon (presumably, they are business people after all!!!), it seems wasteful for me to continue to use that space for a plant that will be a poor representation of the strain. in terms of quantity and possibly quality.

So I will drop a Sweet and Sour in the next few days, giving the Sour Hound an additional 7 days to snap out of it and get growing.

IMO, you should drop a sweet and sour now. That Sour Hound is old. Start a seed now, when it is bigger than the Sour Hound, throw it out. If you are having that much trouble already with the SH, cull it. Not worth the time and effort, it won't yield well. Once an Auto is that badly stunted, it's yield is completely different.

Agree with you @slowandeasy , just took me an extra couple of days to get to that conclusion. Will probably get it started tonight or tomorrow. Still troubled that the first three seeds from the 18 pack have had issues. Oh well, cull it and move on....

In the same boat. Got a few strains I want to grow and even just one plant but it will take me a while to get to them because there is a good 15 in the list and I grow about 10 at a time. And there are a good 5 more like DG that I'll be looking to get when they are in stock again this year.

Today I culled the Sour Hound, she just stopped growing and look no different then she did when she 5-6 days old, and today would have been Day 19. She was definitely stunted. When I removed her from the solo cup and 3 gallon airpot, there was not any roots that had ventured out of the solo cup.

I uppotted the Sweet & Sour today to a double Solo Cup. She is at day 2, and I will move her into the 3 gallon airpot sometime this coming week. She was watered, in the solo cup with MC 1.5 gram/gallon solution, at 50/50 with RO water. She only got about 3-4 ounces to wet the soil.

Pictures of the Ghost Toof, 3BOG, and White Crack, along with the new S&S will be later this week. I will also have some pictures of the 4 Stone Dragons. All the plants (with the exception of S&S) are getting fed 2.5g MC/gallon, with 1.5g SC and 1ml of CalMag. The MC is the original recipe.

Been working all day yesterday and this morning up to the kickoff of the NFL Championship games on the new breeding cabinet. Making the ventilation and scrubber stealthy has been a real project. Hope to done sometime this week.

As promised yesterday, here are some photo's of the current grow. All of these photo's, with the exception of the Sweet & Sour, are on Day 20. The Sweet & Sour is Day 3.

I haven't may any distinction between the Stone Dragons yet as there has been nothing that set any one of them apart from the rest.

White Crack - she seems to be the most vigorous of the Mephisto's I got going.

Ghost Toof - got a little leaf swirl going on. She was a bit slower then all the rest getting started, but she is catching up.

3 Bears OG - she has been a bit droopy compared to the others, but she is growing at the same rate as the others. Autocobs are at 31" above the canopy.

Sweet & Sour - Day 3 - not much to look at, just a seedling reaching for the lights.
