The day has come! I’ve just put my beans into germinate should hopefully see some little taproots bu tomorrow. Im germed 5 of each strain. The plan for this grow is to veg for as long as possible and mainline each plant too achieve 8 colas. I may do a monster grow of each strain and grow a plant of each in 72 litre pot but I am undecided on this yet. Let’s see how things go first! Also, I may just top top 2 plants without mainlining if I notice its gonna interfere with blooming cycle as I grow perpetually.

plants will be vegged under a 315 CMH then split between my 600 hps and Mars hydro TSL2000.
Plants will be grown in coco
Nutrients will be Flairform with added hydrogaurd and Velokelp by Remo as a foliage spray.

Thread will be updated at least once a week with added entries for each milestone.

this is gonna be fun! Big thanks to @Seedstockers-Mark and @Trichome farmer for making this happen!

    Lift off
  • We have lift off! All the runtz have popped and three wedding cake. I’m happy with that tho as all the little plants are looking good and growing nicely. First dose of nutrients was earlier today, dosed at 1/4 strength. I also foliar spray twice daily with velokelp.

    Day 11
  • 11 days in since they’ve been dropped in coco. All is looking good. 8 happy little ladies. Excuse the mess in the tent. I’ve had too put them into my led tent which I haven’t used or cleaned in a while. I’ll clean the tent later tonight

    Day 19
  • Plants are taking shape. All is good and they’re now taking a full dose of veg nutrients with no burning. Fan leaves are stretching lovely and a new node is developing now every 5-7 days.
The bigger plants are Runtz, the smaller wedding cake. With this in mind I will transplant the runtz at day 25-30 then top and apply lst. I will unlikely manifold these as I do t want to halt my veg time By too much.
the wedding cake I will vegetate for much longer. At this stage I’d assume I’m going for 50-60 day veg. I will likely transplant these then into either my 56 or 75 litre fabric pots.

    Day 20
  • A few days late in updating this info:

the day after I posted my last update I noticed roots coming out of the bottom of the pots on the Runtz. Because of this and limited room at the moment I decided to top them before transplanting. I will now likely transplant these with the next weeks but I will allow the roots too grow out instead of pruning them at this stage as I don’t want to risk halting growth once they are transplanted. Sorry for no pictures but I will hopefully be able to add some later tonight, if not it will be over the weekend.

    Day 25
  • Well this is becoming a grow of unexpected quickness so my initial plans are day by day changing.

All roots on all plants are now protruding from the bottom of the pots because of space and my inability atm to sent up my 1.2x1.2 veg tent I will have too flip the runtz very soon. Though saying this they are established enough to be flipped. I usually gauge the vegetative period with photos by eye instead of counting days but seeing as I’m doing a journal here I’ve recorded the days, but they a surely ready enough to be flipped.

The plan now is too transplant the runtz into the 16l pots but space is limited in the current tent. So I will have transplant, leave veg in there for only a few days before hen transfer to the flower tent.

The wedding cake has caught up lovely and they too got topped a few days ago. I will transplant them and leave veg when the runtz move back on. Hopefully I am able to set up the new, bigger veg tent soon.

    Day 31 - runtz flower - day 2
  • The runtz have been transplanted into 20 litre fabric and are now sitting under the 600hps. I did this yesterday and some transfer shock is apparent today. They should bounce back in a few days.
The wedding cake sit in my veg area. I am now completely unable to set up my new veg due to numerous reasons so I have to make do with the space I have. I’ve put an empty 56 and an empty 75 litre pot in there. I could use both but I would have to put two plant into one 75 pot. I could put two in their own 56 litre with one in a twenty, or I could just put each plant into a 20 litre pot. I am airing on the side of one in a 56, two in a 75 though. This will be somewhat problematic tho because I will have to veg them until AT LEAST the end of December as that’s when I will have space in my flower area. So with all that root space I will end up with some Godzilla ladies.

    this is a tough decision

Day 34 - day six of flower for runtz
  • The runtz have now acclimatised to their new environment. Very little transplant shock and the Mg deficiency was likely linked to the plants being root bound in their original pots. (Fuck these babies grow quick!) since being out under the hps I have continued with veg nutrients but I will switch to bloom from tomorrow. Flairform recommends using their budstorm from the very start of the flowering but I feel they will benefit from at least without as I want the plants to easily translation without messing with NPK ratio to quickly.
The wedding cakes have moved into their big, new home! Two have anyway. So, two have been potted up into a 56 litre fab pot each but one had to be transplanted into a 20 litre and put into flower with the runtz. There will be at LEAST another 6-8 weeks of veg on the wedding cakes. I wish I manifolds these now but I’m gonna leave them go another week then I will give them a heavy defoliation and begin training them.

Day 41- Day 14 of flower for runtz
  • The runtz have now almost fully recovered from the transplant. There was one with curled down leaves that seems to have suffered some root issue so defoliated the damaged growth and adding hydrogaurd is rectifying this has helped. (It’s the centre plant on the pic). By the next update I will trim the lower plants on all the runtz then steak down the branches.

the wedding cakes their 56 litre pots are growing amazingly! Two days ago I trimmed off all the lower plant and staked each branch. Both plants spilt at the join along the topped area so they have been taped back up and sprayed with velokelp. This occurred three days ago and detriment as been observed. All the tied back branches are now pointing back to the light. I will tie them closer to each stake over the coming week.

Day 49 - day 22 of flower for runtz
  • Sorry, but no pics of the runtz on this upload. I will do that tomorrow.

rhe wedding cake are doing super awesome! I’ve been pulling them back closer to the stakes the last week and they been responding well. They will be vegging for quite a while yet so I have been thinking about topping each top again, but I haven’t made my mind up on this. The large circumference of the pot has allowed me to tie back load so there may be no point in topping them. I will decided ad the weeks progress
