As promised here’s some pics of the runtz in the flower room. They are stretching well and now they are starting to open up. Another 10-14 days we should see some bud sites
first off I’ve had some of the larger leaves dying off on the wedding cake and some canoeing, mainly on the plant to the left. This has been going on for around a week but since I’ve dialled back the feed I’ve seen some improvements. This has been curious but I’ve noticed that I was using canna calmag with the Flairform base nutes at first but I switched to CMX (Flairform calmag) around 14 days ago. This is the only thing I can think of that has caused this. I’m thinking the switch of calmag has increased the the nutrient uptake of the ladies which has shocked them. Any how, it seems to be rectifying itself now. There’s still signs of it there but it has improved a lot since I have been reducing the feed. The wedding cakes are also FUCKING MASSIVE! These are hopefully gonna produce a bountiful harvest! I still have at least another 2-3 weeks before I have space in my flower area. Giving these plants size I think it’s only appropriate to SCROG them when they are flipped
the runtz are now producing bud sites. I lollipopped them since my last update which has been successful. They are stretching more than a stretch Armstrong! I’m loving it! No burn, no deficiency, they are taking everything I throw at them and still asking for more!
Day 77, day 50 flower for runt, day 12 flower for wedding cake
I’ve been behind on my updates lately, I’ve been away with a family emergency but thankfully that has been taking care of.
the runtz are stretching nice and producing Bud sites. I’ve had to tie the biggest plant back to the tent pole.
the wedding cake has been put into flower and placed under a SCROG. These plants are so big I could easily fit just one in 1.2 m space and it would fill that well.
Day 85- runtz flower day 57, wedding cake flower day 20
The runtz are now ripening off. Bud looks quite small but this is probably due to me being away for a few days over Xmas. There is definitely some growing too be done here. Probably looking at another 4 weeks before I even think of harvesting them.
the wedding cake has adapted to training under the screen very well. Just look at that SCROG! Beautiful!
The runtz are nearly done. Two more weeks and I’ll take down the plants with the harder buds. Two plants are more sativa dom and are still showing white pistils so I’ll be looking a few more weeks before I take them down. The smell is lovely. Very exotic! The plants with established buds are small in size but their rock hard. I’ll upload some pics during lights off.
The wedding is looking really good. The screen has been filled nicely and pre flowers are now forming.
As promised here’s a lights out of the girls, the runtz are beefing up well. There one closest with the largest cola is sativa dom and easily has a few more weeks on her. The others are almost ready to harvest. I will give these another weeks then I will decide if I am too harvest then or not.
the wedding cake are stacking up lovely. Using a SCROG on plants this big was a lifesaver. They will need a heavy defoliation but I won’t do that until it’s nearer their harvest.

Day 114 - runtz day 86 of flower, wedding cake day 49 of flower
I’ve harvested four of the runtz as they were heavily fox tailing. They looked quite stringy, like a plant does when it’s pollinated but they obviously weren’t and they didn’t hermie either. I didn’t get any pics of them at harvest but I will upload bud pics once they’re dry. I do have two runtz left growing and they are fattening up nicely. Another week or so and they will be ready to harvest.
the wedding cake continue to grow nicely. Some heavy frosting on some bud sites. I’m very impressed with the amount of colas that have been produced. The long veg and transplant to the 56 litre pots have paid off massively. Oh, and these girls stink! I need to change my clothes each time I water them lol.
So that’s it! The runtz have all
Been taken down. These are some of the firmest buds I’ve ever grown and some of the largest too, very mold resistant too! I would definitely grow this strain again, and tbh I’m likely to put this strain onto my regular grow cycle.
The girls are no far off ready for harvest. The closest one has maybe another 2-3 weeks on her but the one at the back is definitely ready for harvest. I have no idea how I’m gonna be able to get to the plant to cut her down tho haha. Just some quick bud shots of the nearest plant. I’ll upload more pics of bud shots when I harvest the back plant tomorrow.
She smells absolutely beautiful too. Can’t wait to try her. I’m gonna have to get a HUGE grovbag to cure this lol.
