when you don't want your bud sites to get anymore light...what's the purpose of 'knotting' the stem?
Check out my grow bro... Hazy uses them on some of his too..easy peasy..

Well yeah but I kinda thought there might be a cut off point where the plant should stop being poked with a stick and allowed to grow.
I knotted those to get them out the way, I couldn't figure out a way to tie them down without having string dangling about where I didn't want it and they'd constantly been in the way up till now so I tied the bastards together. It should do the trick for the time being. I have plenty of other sites where I've used the plants branches as holds for my training. If I could get a decent picture I'd be able to show you the whole plants knotted together, not just those two leaves.

I'm just about to roll my 10o'clock joint, as soon as it's in hand I'll be heading over to check your grow out, I have been there many times already, must have overlooked you using them.

Just thought I'd post a couple of pictures before their end of week drink at the water bar.
They're on day 26 now and apart from the mess I made of Hindiana, which hopefully I'll be able to pull back, they look fine to me. Especially Nordika, really loving the shape of her as she grows.
All three have a nice gentle smell to them already, each having a very different scent.
Still nothing to report though, water only, 20/4 lights, temps during lights on are 77-80F, haven't yet checked during lights off but the difference will be minimal.
Anyways folks, enjoy the rest of weekend.

This is an Auto Super Silver Haze from GreenLabel which I didn't give the best of starts as you can see from the first set of leaves but i'm bringing her back and she's cooking now.

I finally have something to write, not that I should be happy about it really lol.
Had a little problem yesterday, Came home from work to find the fan wasn't working and there was a very strange damp smell coming from the grow room. On inspection it turned out to be Nordika's soil. Checked the other two and they were fine. Don't really understand this as the mix is exactly the same and there been nothing go through it except tap water??
Anyways, I decided to change the soil in all three just in case, and gave them all a real good flush for no reason other than its the first thing I'd do before trying to correct any problem. Came home today and the smell problems been sorted but I noticed some discolouration on Nordika's new growth. It has seemed to have had burned tips from the start so I know it doesn't like the soil but this just seems like a different problem.
Other than that though things are going well, I've raised the lights to allow them to have their flowering stretch and added two 30w cfl's to see what happens.
I also seem to have lost a couple of days somewhere along the way so this isn't day 28 as I thought, this is

This is the discolouration, from the pictures does anyone have any ideas??

Here we go, the plants are really filling in the spaces now.
Hindiana is much more developed and will definately finish first which agrees with the packaging. Bud sites are popping up all over the place.
Nordika suffered from some unknown ailment when the soil suddenly turned nasty, I can only assume this was due to the fan breaking but todays new growth has none of the discolouration of yesterdays. The tips of the leaves seem to have been affected but its gone no further than that so for now I'll just keep a close eye on her.
Venus is further behind in growth and is looking to finish last, still concentrating on growing rather than flowering spots. I'll be taking this one closer to 100 days and probably a little bit more if she'll allow me to.
I'll post some individual pics on Sunday when I do my 32oz ones but for now here's my pond of green.
