New Grower Seeds of Life - Hindiana & Nordika

:pass:

Much appreciated Sapphire, I'm very impressed with them so far. Blown away every day when I go in to check on them.
Looking forward to the flowering stretch but I'm also slightly worried lol, I can see them exploding.

Hindiana has confirmed she is in fact a she and I would guess that Nordika and Venus will do the same over the next couple of days.

I'm trying to find out a home-made remedy for cal/mag deficiency, I have no problems using epsom salts but I'm intrigued to see if I can find something I can use at home such as an eggshell concoction, there's gotta be something out there. If not, I'll just take a trip down to town and grab some salts. I'm not in trouble yet but I want to be prepared for the inevitable lol.

Anyone got any ideas??

Peace

Back again....

Just finished a new training branch so I thought I'd post a few pictures before they turn back towards the light.

:booya:All three are showing female sex, and a friend has given me two Think Different seeds to grow :booya:

Thanks Duggy and Clyde.

Very strange we were reading each others journals at the same time Duggy lol.
Hope your gardens growing well Clyde, I see you've stolen my good weather completely, I sent that cloud your way and the rest fracked off with it as well lol.

I did a bit more tucking today, just bending leaves that were blocking the light and tucking them around another branch. Not gonna do pics till Sunday/Monday as that explosion happened today and I wanna leave it alone for a couple of days now.

Looking great so far though if I do say so myself.

i have grown to really like hindiana, it is perfect for a cfl grow, it is the opposite of bushy so light penetration is not a problem, it grows quickly because it is indica, this is a great strain for beginner grow, cfl grow, small pace grow, low budget, etc... with CFL's i will get more out of this plant then i could out of a larger, more bushy and leafy plant. i am using only 100 watts (actual watts) and maybe you could use even less if strategically placed and reflected well you could grow this plant. OP you will not be disappointed. and anyone else, if you are growing stealth with CFL's and want a quick easy plant, get this.

Update time....

The girls have grown so much in the last three days. I've spent a little time tucking the fan leaves away to encourage the bud sites to raise themselves up a little.

Over the next week I will be raising the light slightly to try to get Nordika to stretch a wee bit else I'm likely to end up with a giant bud on a stick, which no matter how cool that would be I'd like to try to avoid it this time if possible.

They've still been fed nothing but oxygenated tap water, and I'm gonna keep it that way. I've noticed the first set of leaves slowly yellowing but based on how slow and steadily they are draining of colour this tells me the plants are just a bit hungry and shedding unnessesary leaves, no biggie. I'm not trimming any leaves off at all this grow, unless they drop off they'll be there till the end.

Anyways, hope y'all have had a great weekend.

Time for some Lemon Haze....

:pass:

Stay classy AFN

(I do apologise for the quality of these pictures, because of all the tucking the plants look rather messy and there's just too many off-angles to take any nice shots)

Also, I noticed this on La Frutta Di Venus the other day and its carried on growing so we'll see what happens.
Many moons ago I vegged a Northern Lights for a while and the same thing happened but it grew no bigger than the one shown here so it'll be interesting if this one carries on.
Scared the crap outta me when I first saw it, thought my fem'd seeds had gone and screwed me.

Anyways, this post has become rather large so here's the new growth off doing its own thing. Anyone else had this and had it amount to anything??

Btw, any scaring you've noticed on leaves have been caused by me being a stoned R-Tard and trapping them as I've been moving the plants around.

Shame on me.

I may put one of these outside.... I'm undecided, just curious to see what happens. Well, see if it survives I suppose.

Possibly Nordika which would surely cause a stretch.....
