yeah ill have to do some digging about and find out whats best to go with but at that price for a designer light i cant really say no. only gotta produce an extra half oz to pay for the upgrade. just still sounds too good to b true. ive seen quite a few folk pull 2 gram per watt with cobs but i just cant get my head around the numbers. given that my last plant was a pounder, does that mean it wouldve been a kilo if id used the same wattage of cobs? we’ll see how the first one works out, if it lives up to my expectations i might have to pimp out anotger panel and have another crack at the 1 kilo a/u title.

Yeahhh man well autofliwer got some links for cheap drivers and shit so ima make my own grab kinevts build it toy kit an make mounts for the cobs fam cheap as fuck ehh hmmmmmm

day 17ish i think. really am getting so bored with her already like. i cant get over how slow these things are compared to autos. still happy and healthy though and roots are going strong so im not worried. she’ll let me know if i do anything wrong. gonna get the resevoir turned on in a few days time. about 20 tap roots have made it through the cube so far but i want that to at least double before she takes the plunge. might aswell have the best possible platform to build on if i can help it. shes handling the nutes well too. got her on 380ppm wich is double what i usually give the autos at this point.

It's like watching paint dry lol taking of painting i best get to it, having my grow tent in my bedroom has cause major damp on the walls that im breathing in :/ oh the joys! Wish me luck haha

The reason I help is because I struggled big time when I first switched to “led” which in my eyes is still one of the worst thing going. I hate when people and companies lie. LED has these ridiculous claims, no heat-lie, more light-lie, full spectrum- lie. Did you know a 100 watt toaster and a 100 watt grow light are both equal to 431 btu of heat. Where this no heat crap came from us beyond me. I still feel the conversions are a great way to get started and I haven’t seen anyone disappointed and I have assisted in hundreds of them. But I will say this and it should be well thought about prior to doing the upgrade. The drivers in these lights are very cheap and prone to problems, they also limit what you can really do with the cobs. It’s an excellent entry level light which should be considered when doing the work.

Another big factor is more light does not always mean more yields. I am doing some major testing on my current crop and it’s showing that less light is actually much better. The benefit is I currently have !!!!400!!!!! Watts over a 4x10 space and the plants are doing great. Previous grows I had 1250 watts of cobs, 700 watts of cobs at the start of the grow and now at 400 and the plants look better than ever now. It’s best to believe in what a cob can do and respect that it’s real. If you have 250 led watts do not try to cram 250 cob watts in there.
haha dont get me started on the led lies like. seen so many people fall victim to it. including myself. thankfully i went a bit far anyway so ended up alright but the amount of new guys i see with those “1000w full spec” panels from amazon that think it can produce a kilo. its heart breakin. my mate got one and i had it tested at 170w. i think of it like buying a 50” flatscreen telly. getting home and finding a 50” frame with a 10” screen. tv company wouldnt get away with it so how come they do? and they all do it untill you get into the designer brands.
anyway yeah, i like to help where i can for the same reason mate. my standard of living and general well being have increased so much from all the help ive had on here its unreal. so many people bent over backwards to help me (and pulled out pretty coloured sock puppets to explain things to me when required) on my first grow. i still regularly ask daft noobie questions to this day.
what youve said is what i was thinking about though. being that it is a cheap chinese light, what would be the max amount of cob youd recommend putting in it? ive always been of the impression that 50w of blurple per square foot was the maximum, beneficial amount of light. hence why i got 540w for 11 square foot once i “learned” this..... i use the term loosely as im sure youll correct me lol. do you have a rough figure of what you feel is the maximum w per square foot/metre to aim for. im all about yield so want to improve on a half kilo from a metre square. im aiming for an 800g plant in a 1.5m tent. got 50% more light (810 blurp, was 540) and 50% more space than last time so i feel its a pretty reasonable goal. id rather push some cobs and aim for a kilo though : )

This is not good. Luckily you have products there that help kill/treat for this.

Whether or not your venting outside or back into the space you run the risk of mold/mould. Venting outdoors creats a negative pressure inside the house which then draws in outdoor air to replace what’s exhausting. Gaps, cracks, windows and doors. In the picture above it’s moldy at the top of the wall where there is joint. Mass amounts of air through a gap will definitly mold up on you.

I do vent back into my house but like sm0 said it will find any cold spot/crack. By the looks of it the landlords had a false ceiling put over the artexed one and that's why the mould runs right alone the seam of the wall, the ventilation is shit in here without leaving the windows open at night and freezing! Lol could do with a wall vent putting in but i dont want the landlord around [emoji23]
