Hi all,

DP Tony very kindly sent some AutoBlueberry seeds my way.

The 'scientific' LST is just growing the main stem horizontally so that only the buds grow upward toward the light.

This accomplishes two things, it saves on vertical space and ensures all buds get fairly even lighting, hopefully maximising bud size.

My inspiration was this photo :

The structure of the plant is opened up really well.

The guy that did this used a photoperiod plant so i doubt i'll have the same success but i'm giving it a go !

I put two plants in the same tray, to grow horizontally toward each other. Here they are after 1 week :

The growbox is homemade, made of chipboard, 2x2x3 feet high (60x60x90cm).

I am using Plant Magic organic compost and PM organic grow and bloom nutes, as well as PM biosilicon.

They are on tapwater that is untreated apart from warming it a little to avoid shocking the roots.

They are under a 250W flowering CFL for the whole grow and there is no potting up.

This is my first experimental grow annd my fifth grow overall.

Cheers for reading,

nibs.

Hey Nibblebit,

Awesome my friend. I like this stuff. Stuff never before tried. I have a few I am doing as well. I have the Personal Plant Micro Scrog, and a new deal where I pulled everyone of my branches out, so all my colas get maximum light. I will have minimum 12 main branches, with some satellite branches as well. It looks like a round garden sprinkler, lol

Any ways, if you could get that to be similar, then you got it bro, you probably could improve on it too. Also, that could actually let you put two plants in one pot, to save room if you had a mind to do that.

my two cents, good work.

Eek

Thanks for the welcome Tony (and thanks for the seeds !).

I hope to show off some more great DP autofems :)

All the best,

Just realised my title says 4 plants, but it is only two !

I am aiming to get more than 1oz per plant but we'll see :)

Hi there nibbs good luck with the rest of the grow dude:smokebuds:

And hi to old friends smurfy and tony :buds:

I am wondering if that pot is going to handle two ABBs, I have seen some of them get pretty big. I love a good LST trip, or was it a good LSD trip!!! This one looks like its gonna be cool!!!

I must say the stem on lefty (the lefthand one, i'm so imaginative!) is really thick and righty isn't far behind.

But this time i've started strong with the grow nutes and they are loving it.

Bit of an experimental grow so we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for reading insert :)

All the best,

Day 21.

DAY 21.

This is the first time i've used grow nutes properly.

I was always afraid to use too much before and i got pale girlies that didn't result in the strongest smoke and didn't smell very much at all through the grow.

This time it's different, they already stink, and they are a lovely shade of green :)

These girls have the thickest stems i've seen on my autos.

Maybe it's the nutes, maybe it's the 30L (but shallow) pot ?

I always use biosilicon once a week but i've never had stems that thick at day 21.

Not that i'm complaining ;+}
