Thanks Bigg Al, the mumbling dragon sounds interesting, AK47 x Duurty - will be big and strong. I'll definitely look that thread up when it arrives. Auto AK is probably my favourite grown auto, for its size and power - that was way back though.

Got some Stone Dragons going right now. These seeds I am growing now were made from a pack I purchased from Stone about 6-9 months back. I did a complete seed run and produced a couple thousand seeds. This is the first run of those seeds. I haven't graded the seeds yet, just keep grabbing them out of the container when I want to start some more. I have been getting about 80% germination so far. I am very happy with that. I am really only interested in the meds for this run, so I would like to get a minimum of 4 females. I currently have 3 that are confirmed females, and 4 seedling to go. Here are a couple of pictures:

Day 51, almost 3 weeks of flower

The two larger plants have been determined to be female, less then a week into flower as of today.

Week 5 - F3.

All plants doing well at the moment, and will be getting switched to HPS in a few days. Definitely two green females, and possibly a purple one. Colour is very faint, so keeping an eye on it.

Beginning of week, and then the end for compare.

Maybe a little purple in these. I'll try for some better shots in a day or so.

Starting to look very nice, how do they smell? Do you find them very hungry, or quite light in feeding?

Good afternoon @niceaneasy, Sorry for not being able to answer you in the past couple of days, been extremely busy. Just enough time to only feed/water plants and sleep when at home. I do feed daily, maybe once every 10 days I skip a day. They don't seem to be balking at the nutes I am giving them. I am using MegaCrop version 2.0 along with Sweet Candy (before heavy flowering stage) and Bud Explosion (Heavy Flowering stage to flush). I try to keep ph levels around 6.1-6.2, and the ppm around 500-550. They have shown no leaf tip burn or any other stress at this point. Smells at this stage are hard to pinpoint. Although they all seem to have something that is different then the others. My first girl is bushy, she is the oldest of three, has a distinct lemon scent to her, almost astringent. My 2nd girl is 3 weeks younger, been flowering for almost 2 weeks. She already is showing dark purple below her pistils. She seem bushy as well, but a bit more squat then the first. A bit more subtle citrusy smell, with a bit of berry sweetness. The third girl is also 3 weeks younger then the first girl. She is very different is appearance. You can see all her nodes, no need to push leaves aside. She has a very open structure. Both the wife and I did the smell testing and this was the last one we "sniffed". We were both turned off by this one after the first two. There is the common lemon/citrus, and maybe a bit of skunkiness. But it all fades to something that is off-putting, almost rotten. Very strange indeed, but they are early in flower so they can change, we shall see. Getting excited at the prospects. Still got four seedlings that haven't sexed, so not closing the door on this one just yet.

That's quite all right mate, glad you answer when and if you can. Sounds like you've got a fight on your hands, but it is a good fight. I wouldn't rule out anything with these plants. I had an auto AK that I thought smelt of dog poo when cutting it down, it was so strong. The bud and hash I got from it are now stuff of legend (in my head anyway).

Week 6 - F3:

Quite a steady week for the plants, no other issues than some additional thrip damage. Can't seem to shift the little buggers, but it is that time of year.

We're getting three distinct plants with these.

* Small purple one. Smaller probably because I did not re-pot quite quickly enough, but very chunky & has that rich earthy smell I have come to expect from the purple Black Dragon. This will probably end up just like one big bud.

* Small green one. This one is only slightly larger than the small purple, but was re-potted at the correct time. Not sure if this might have the rooting issue, but won't know until she is cut. Not much of a smell from this one yet, just fresh bud. This is kind of what I was expecting from the seeds, smaller, stocky plants, with a lighter terp set than its parents.

* Larger green one. This is where the fun begins, as she is a plant I've not grown before. Almost twice as big as the others, and even though she is a green, she smells like the purples. I think she is going to be a cracker, as long as I don't muck it up. I would like to have pollinated her, but not going hunting for a good male at this stage. Hopefully I will get a similar one from the seeds I use for the F4 run.

Week 7 - F3:

Another good week for the plants. They've put some weight on, and a little size to. First proper smells of Dragons coming out of the tent on opening, all very nice.

We have a little problem with the larger pant, and fan leafs. I'm not entirely sure if it's over or under feeding, but probably under. She's the only one with the issue at the moment. Not on all the big fan leaves, but enough for me to take note. Time to look up the old charts again. I've never tried calmag, but sounds like it is something I need mid grow, to prevent issues like this. Pity I'm so skint atm.

Thrips are still a bit of a problem as well, but the plants are getting older now, so not as tasty for them. I'll still don't see any in the tent, which is strange, so there cannot be too many of them. That can change quickly though, so continuing to monitor.

Leaf damage.
