Indoor SAD and NL first grow!

Thanks Jas :D for my first auto I'm awfully proud of her. Her smoke sure kicks you in the ass, if I smoke to much coma is induced.

Probably my favorite auto so far bro when it comes to insomnia meds! Or should I say one of the few strains that has the strength to knock me out :crying:

Howdy greenthumper. Nice grow. I see you commented that your NL has a strong aroma. What does it smell like and who is the breeder. Thanks and will check on your grow and smoke reports.

Hey Alan I got the NL bean from nirvana. Lol we need a scratch and sniff button on this site. Its like a rotten fruit with a sharp spice smell with a little skunk squirt. Its unlike anything I've ever smelled she might move outside to finish up.

Thanks greenthumper. I happen to like NL. Have not tried a NL auto. There is so much conflicting info. per the auto NL. Some breeders want to call the strain Northern Light when the correct terminology is Northern Lights. And none will provide a clear genetic blue print. Nirvana is a good choice. I looked it up what is surprising is that it is touted as a small plant with little odor. What you describe is what I would expect a NL to smell like as it grows. During curing it might smell somewhat piney. I look forward to seeing your harvest and smoke report.

I'm sorry but I've read more bad reviews/complaints about nirvana autos and nirvana seeds in general, than any other seed company so I would not consider Nirvana to be a good choice. The guy at one of my local grow shops tested nearly all the Royal Queen autos and said that their NL auto was the best, mainly due to a far superior flower to leaf ratio, but did say it was decent smoke too. This is also one of the main reasons NL has been used as breeding stock for so many strains, especially indoor strains. I grew a royal queen NL auto for about a month outdoor and gave it away recently because I now have an indoor setup and was worried about the neighbours. It was healthy and dealt with the awful growing conditions well, but I didn't see the finished product so can't really judge the strain. Royal queen are a good company in my experience so I would go with theirs personally, but that's just my opinion.

Greenthumper, your S.A.D. looks awesome man well done! Please put up a smoke report when you can! BTW, did you notice any double serrated leaves on her? My Mohan Ram has some and I figured it must come from the afghani genetics in the S.A.D. seeing as it's typically a cheese characteristic and those are the only genetics they have in common.

Peace

TC

Glad to here that it's such good smoke. I've just started one in DWC and I hope it turns out as good.
