OLD REVIEWS Royal Gorilla genetics

I’ll pick your brain and knowledge if you don’t mind. :)
What’s your opinion on newer vs older strains from the 80s and 90s? White Widow, Northern Lights, Jack Herer, etc vs GSC, Gorilla Glue, Gelato, Pineapple Express, etc? Cheers.

Honestly, they were pretty damn good. I was real lucky, one of my friends cousins worked the docks in Oakland. Only reason he even dealt with us is the cousin thing. An eighth here and a half there was way under his level. But we saw stuff that had just arrived. Growers seemed to be into their craft, and street prices reflected that. I've paid 80$ for an eighth of street weed that calling it fire was an insult. Never seen anything like that come out of a legal commercial shop.

The new stuff is great, am a fan of gelato, but only grown in soil, and from local grows. You can taste the grape pomace from our wineries that was used in the soil. Gorilla glue gets 2 thumbs up as well.

Not a cookies fan or cookie crosses... more for the plant than the bud. Got its name from nugs all about the size of girl Scout cookies.

Once we came indoor, the thc levels climbed quickly, we dropped the "hippie" frisbee life and became Beavis and Butthead stoners.

Growing any of these strains needs to be looked at carefully, you named a lot that are herm prone. Bringing them to auto you get some of that too.

The purps hit here pretty hard. Purple this purple that... I can't say I've ever been blown away with any of them, found them a bit underwhelming for all the hype.

You still see the greats making appearances here and there in the autos. I have a Northern Cheese Haze running now that has Northern Lights #5 in the photo parent. Exodus Cheese, Northern Lights #5/Haze F2 cutting X crossed to mephistos Fantasmo Express (a ghost train haze cross) the NL is in there somewhere!
And... appropriate naming as well, pulling from all genetic lines.

Oh, hermies! I freaked out a few weeks ago after I noticed several “balls” on several of my plants. Turns out they were just swollen calyxes. Haha

Jack Herer, Northern Lights and White Widow? I seldom read a negative comment about Jack. Is it as good as the online world would suggest?

Which Kush is your favorite? I’m currently eyeing Bubba Kush and OG Kush from Barney’s Farm. Master Kush perhaps?
thanks

Nothing bad is allowed to be said about Jack.
