@MissUniverse I recently joined the forum, and I currently use the older white MarsHydro 300 (132 Actual Watts). I recently finished my Fast Buds Green Crack Auto, and I messed up a few times along the way (transplanted/overwater/cal.Mag issue). I also had another plant in the same grow tent with the FastBuds. I can attest that the MarsHydro 300 is only strong enough for one plant. I pulled 1.25 Wet ounces from the FBGC, which was less than I wanted, but I was happy enough to collect some nugs. Next time around, I will be growing in KIND SOIL, which is a water only regiment (kind of set it and forget it). You only use a certain amount of their soil as a bottom layer. You add something like Fox Farm CocoLoco or Roots Organic Original as the base media. They offer a free trial of their high nutrient soil. There is a complete regiment that you have to follow in regard to setting up your 3-5 gallon airpot/smartpot. You only water with low PPM and neutral ph water.
Good to know that I was pretty much right on the mars hydro, but I have the personal feeling that if i get another tent im going to get a couple of the 300's versus 1 600 so I can change the heights according to the plant... but that's pretty far off.
I do have all the different nutrients available to use, and probably will be using them the next time around, but im broke

.
So far my water has been good, so that is a big plus. I just hate having to amend soil because of the amount of physical labor will keep me in bed for a while day in pain. but good information definitely will look at it. I was looking at kind soil earlier today as an amendment to the promix i use.
Yes, I got all my seeds through Herbies, was my very first order ever so it was more of a "test"..nothing against Herbies or not trying to imply anything against the bean quality at all, I have no doubt all the errors were mine to make but I will say I was kind of surprised by the size of the beans I received, I just figured they would have been "bigger"...but like I said, I dont have anything to gauge this against since it was my first time and I give a rep to Herbies because i got my purchase so they held up their end pretty well so yeah I would definitely use them again. I just have a little more knowledge now by joining this forum and learning the last couple weeks that a couple more options exists that I might be able to explore in the near future
I think herbies is just so big that they sometimes don't rotate their stock accordingly. I had purchased two of the same item and they were about 1 year apart on their packaging date which was a big bummer.
I have noticed a lot of seeds are smaller than I would have thought so too. There are a few that are big, but ive noticed the smaller ones tend to produce bigger plants. This forum has helped me a lot. Growing autos is an art all to its own that i didn't think about before. Sure it's less work in some respects, but in others its just as hardcore.
Im pretty much out of the autoflower game until my next purchase which is still couple weeks away because Im going to take the time and research different strains and definitely get more beans than 5, who would have thought I would kill all my autoflowers....I really expected at my worst I would be able to keep a couple alive like 2/5 would have been alright with me..but to kill 5/5...omg!....definitely cant treat them like bagseeds.
There is one bright spot and I am really happy about it.The one seed that has lived is a feminised Delicious Candy aka Cheese Candy...it isnt an autoflower but it is the one and only seed that has actually sprouted....I helped it along by rooting around in the mix with an ink pen....she would have no doubt broken the mix today but I helped her along a bit....

You're doing a bit better than I was at the beginning, i had failure after failure until I got my setup right. It's a simple one, but it took a lot of time to realize that i don't need all these big things people say.
Keep that one growing and you can take some nice clones from it and then come back to autos and not worry about the light leaks. Leaks were the [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] reason I went with autos. I know I don't have a space that can be 100% light leak free, so I just went with autos for the simplicity of not worrying about light leaks.
Don't worry about failure, it only leads to success later. If it was easy to grow, everyone would be growing...
I leave my seeds in the paper towel until they have something like a 1-2 inch taproot so they can more easily establish themselves. Plastic cup over the seed and then mist a bit every day. A few days later, after it pops, just slowly intruducing the plant to a less humid environment has seemed to work. But honestly, the biggest thing I've noticed is that mephisto plants are much hardier than others I've attempted.
Hopefully my plant is just going slower because it's a really compact indica, it is going to probably not do as well as it could, but im hoping the grape crinkle grow battle will be better. I'm considering going for nutrients for the grow battle since I have them all.
