Hey everyone!
Today is chop day for me! I have a Northern Cheese Haze that is in the middle of week 12, along with a Toof Decay that is the same age. The NCH is showing some amber trichomes, but the Toof Decay really isn't. But the cold is here to stay and I'm growing out in a shed in my backyard so I'm running out of time. I killed my lights yesterday afternoon, so my plan is to go chop them this afternoon. I figured I would try the 24 hour dark deal I hear everyone talk about. Plus I wanted to give them an extra day, in hopes miraculously the TD would ripen a bit more.
Last night it got down to about 37 degrees F ambient outside of the shed. I hope to god I don't walk in this afternoon and see frost issues on my plants, I think I would cry.
Even with my propane heater out there it's not sustainable. The TD could go another week or so, but I've already flushed / been giving plain pH'd water for about two weeks now.
These two plants are by far the best quality cannabis I have ever grown, so I am really excited to see how they smoke.
Unfortunately, I don't have an ideal area to dry, so I will have to do that in the shed. I will have to fight humidity issues, as well as temp issues. But as long as they don't freeze, and start to mold, I should be good.
Please wish me luck, I will need it!
