New Grower Round Two - Continuing The Journey

I had the luck of messing up and leaving my door open my cat snuck back in to the room and destroyed the plants. The rest is fine just need to pop a new bean. I just have bad luck, but that just to me shows its time to just go with the crinkle and make it a one grow tent.

Grape crinkle is going to be popped in a week or so as I've been under the weather again.

go

Bummer! I've got a grape crinkle going myself, about 25 days old now! Cheers to a good grow for you!

I almost popped a crinkle, but for some reason I feel the need to save them as much as possible. Also, I want to have a better growing toof decay :)

my toof decay popped and was put in to soil today. for those of you who didn't see the OP

thank you.
What is your set up going to be?
Well I am considering two options one is a closet space only slightly bigger in dimensions to your space and the marshydro 300 as light source ,that's the cheapest option the other is a slightly larger marshydro light with a tent I don't want to pay out the money and find I can't grow though lol ,the cat ate the plant in a previous post you made struck home with me as we have 3 , so my plan is to find a few new growers with similar sets ups like your self and follow along see what I can learn from both the succeses and failures you all have ,all a learning curve I guess, if you follow any grows that are similar I would be interested to know,so much to read so little time
I am slowly ordering bits and pieces airports ,fan, extractor and air pump are on there way I even have the soil,I growing for pain and mood but haven't decided on strain yet I see the love for mephisto beans on this site so again I need to get reading to which might fit the bill:biggrin:.

The marshydro 300 has served me well so far and I recommend it for the price. A closet is where I grow except I use a tent inside the closet for extra protection from the cat. I found that once I replaced the plasticy mesh with an old door screen, the cat was unable to get through. I also found that if i put tin foil for about a foot around the base of the tent, the cat doesnt want to go over it. Finally, I have, with other house plants, used lion manure or predator pee near the plant. In this case, a pellet or two in your grow space may deter the cat.
One thing I learned is that I didn't need everything I bought. I haven't really had a need for the carbon filter because the strains I have grown have low odour (aka toof decay) and I also have lined my tent with activated charcoal as a carbon filter (it is over kill). The hardest thing for me has been set backs like cats eating plants, giving some away, being in the hospital. You name it, it has happened in my last few months in my attempts to grow.
This is my first go with airpots and I think I like them better, but homedepot buckets work well too if you drill holes in them.
Toof decay was a nice strain, hence my second attempt. I didn't start with mephisto, but they have so far been the only ones to really do okay.
I have found you can really only put 1 or 2 plants in a small space like I have. (one flowering, one vegging)
This time around I'm looking at either LST or scrog to increase yields if I can get this all down myself.
I've heard amazing things about dutch passion and have my eye on fastbud's LSD-25 and their cookies strains.
hope this information helps

Thank you for the reply and information miss, lion dung is in short supply my way  but a very clever and efficient deterant ime sure, truly amazing the numbers of varieties and breeders there are when you start to look into it all,I am new to the canna scene and it's quite overwhelming to try and pick ,I looked into that grape crinkle you mention in the start and the site says good for pain so for a beginning I think ille start there I have had a recommendation for dragon seeds also but perhaps not a beginner's type, sorry to hear about your set backs but you haven't given in and that's the spirit that can only make us stronger lol that's from my better half I don't always see the glass half full, but I try .
l look forward to your updates it must be quite exiting and also stressful at first when you start growing.I was always green fingered in the garden so I am hoping the transition to inside and not having that big light in the sky won't be too traumatic:cheers:
