Outdoor Round 2: Waira's Mixed Bag of Tricks Combo Grow '19

~~~{{{ Week 9-ish update }}}~~~
:smokeout:... Well, the Ugly Stick came to town on me- :rofl:... everybody has taken a bit of a nutritional beating, and showing it! pH has been fine the whole grow, but last week a couple went sideways, Skunk dipped into upper 5's,.. not too bad, but compounded with a general P defc., it hit harder than usual; several fans are toast, totally drained... So, I've been feeding harder to catch up, did some foliars too... Now I need to re-do the Armory inoculant, but that was needed anyway. Everybody except the damn AoF's are in bloom officially! As for those PITA's, something has to be done... the problem is the client is not very steady of his feet, and his memory is crap... A small tent is available, gotta test it for fit though,...but if I can get him to tuck them in at night and take them out on a 12/12-ish sched, that'd do the trick....
I'm starting to incorporate more organic nutes, angling to have that as the main feed, but I have to get them caught up more first on that.... I'm using the Roots HPK, and their Terp' Tea Bloom which is a dry, very fine ground powder- :thumbsup: mixes and slips into the soil nicely!
Tent has a Strawberry Nuggets going, and a (Magic) Witch Doctor, but that one is having some leaf formation issues; second set is wonky, slow to form, only 1 side so far ...:shrug:.. if that fragg's, it'll be a B-Line or maybe Sweet Green Poison auto to fill in... :goodluck:
C99a is 3' now, the original breeder saw her and noted the size is huge for her kin,... makes sense, as she's nearly 8 weeks and has 3-4 to go, way too long (again! :cuss:) and very odd for this strain....
NQ is a 1-2 days from chop; low odor, super tiny trich's; quality looks middling but buds formed nicely... Only time will tell if she's crap, OK, or better than she looks!
You are busier than a two-peckered billy goat with updates and plants :smoking:
Everything is looking good and I enjoy your descriptions. I still have my Green Poison XXL autos to pop, I really want to see how they do.
Wow, the whole gang is coming along nicely , save for those AoF’s... stubborn:shrug: .It might be fun to see what your client can do with them. Watch one, grow one, teach one.
Magic’s CrackLOG is stunning:kiss: and I’m sorta partial to that tree C99a. Seems it’s going to be more of a perpetual grow situation. Cuts down on the trim marathons.
Great to watch all the different strains do their own thing, and no doubt starting to produce a bit of bouquet by now.
:crying: funny you mention that! Check this out-->
.... very good coffee co' too, BTW...:thumbsup:.... Deadman's Reach is superb....
Oh yeah, the GP XXL's.... Hmm, now I'm hankerin' for GP,... if that WD flops, I may have to do the GP auto, which I haven't tried yet.... others have, and the full photo' too, and between us, the consensus is that GP is very stable across the board! Best thing is, the XXL is not an outcross, but a rarer pheno' isolated for size....
:pighug: Hi BC'.... the whole photo' grow is at their place. I lucked out! The man of the house wanted to try his hand at growing in a small tent, but it's not worked out very well because of his memory issues,... I'd still like to try again with him, maybe spend the $ on a "water only" soil, which I'll be helping with anyways for the other extra's like inoculants, Si, etc.,... We'll see!
I know, C99 went Xmas on me big time- :rofl:... the whole cycle went tits-up on me this year luv... the tent is outside in a courtyard, so weather will force me to shut down by late Fall... Between the germ' hiccups, Cherry Bomb not auto'ing, DQ doing weird crap, timing went out the window. I should have at least 3 auto's in by now, tent reloaded, but instead only 1 auto in, DQ soon (if it's even worth it, TBD yet), C99 weeks out,.... I'd run more, but that very marathon thing is what I'm trying to avoid! it's just me processing, so getting- :deadhorse: is not hard to do!
Magic and Ronin (Binary) have the Goods! CrackLOG is an F1 auto/photo, and my only regret is that I didn't get her into bigger pot sooner! She could have been a specimen,... I need to check on her sister, who a friend has along with another C99a and Skunk Special,... So far, I'd call her a fast photo'... Hands down, she's performed the best of all, despite the smaller pot and basically the same feed regime, as the photo's...:shrug: ....... too soon for aromas, save stem.leaf rubs, but most all are promising... AoF are really nice on that!
Looking good man looks like Im here at the right time.. looks like they will be packed with BUD for sure..lost of sites ready to get all large marge on ya lol
:bighug: Doobie my man, what's gooooood? :pimp: Pee Wee Large Marge- :crying:... fingers crossed man, veg' kinda flattened out on me late in the game! All are pretty short this year, not the best lateral branching and fill-in either... cool conditions here did slow things down, so next time, I'll be starting sooner... a couple-few weeks more veg' time would have made the difference...
What's cookin' with you brudda? Are the AutoPots cranking?
Yea I hear ya on the grow bumps and germ problems ..I had the same ..I also have had problems(all my fault) with my autopots clogging or not running and letting the pot go uber dry lol the plant is so big it mage the hole thing lean over and not work . I had to tie it to the wall and raise the rez up one milk crate lol working fine now .
:pass: Smokey mate, now for the surprise! Stanhopea's have very complex flower structure (many orchids do), specially shaped to accommodate the particular pollinator,.... jutting out of the center, on top is the column, a united male/female parts structure, below that is the lip.labellum... the tip of the column has the pollen "gel-packs", hidden behind an anther cap; this is how orchids pass pollen along; there's no airborne type pollen, so they rely entirely on some sort of carrier....
]
Hey Waria mate :d5::pass:
I never knew that about orchids not relying on airbourne pollen. Beautiful looking plant, as are your Canna girls also:yay:nice large healthy looking. Coffee is a nutrient for plants, i might take up coffee, well not realy, i might just make a cup pour it on my girls instead :coffee:
Talking about no Canna plants, DR Clifford parks is in flower, hes a reticulata camellia
Deadmans Reach:thumbsup: we were one of Ravens first customers back when they were starting up. I roast my own now but still pick that one up when the occasion arises:biggrin:
The skunk special still looks interesting... looks like she's coming along ok?
Sweets GP f1fv I grew last year, on your recommendation I believe, was a big hit. I bet any of their iterations of that strain are good:cheers:
