Okay so we're on day 24. Still dealing with a few minor issues but things are moving along. One of the girls is stretching a lot after I raised the light to 40 in. I raised the laptop because she was praying more than she should be LOL. But unfortunately, as a result... She is stretching which is making her very lanky and unfortunately stretching can also adversely affect yield. The new seedling is doing okay. She is also stretching. The 24-Day old girl is 11 in tall and the seedling sits at just over 3 in tall.
Unfortunately, because of some major pH issues a week or so back my girls are permanently stunted in respect to growth. As a result they will be smaller than normal but she will survive. Not expecting too much of a yield but I'll keep babying her until Harvest Time in about 6 to 8 weeks.
Trying to do a little bit of LST in order to get the most out of her.
Alright! High people! It's been a while as I have been trying to keep ahead of the ph and ppm issues I have had over the past month +. I am happy to announce that my run-off is now close to perfect (ph a little high still). I have gone from a run-off ph of 7.5 - 8.0 down to around 6.5 and I am slowly getting it down without causing to much ph shock. I have also successfully reduced the ppm of the run off from between 2800 and 3000 to a much healthier 1400 - 1500 ppm .
The other one that I thought was lost has also come back with a vengeance. She is tall and lanky and her color has gone from lime green to medium green within about 5 days and is getting better everyday.
DAY 54:
This girl is doing very well and is getting frosty as hell! Another 4-6 weeks is my guess. By the looks of her I suspect I should get about 2-3 onces from here once dried
DAY 33
This one is about 3 weeks younger and her growth stopped for well over a week because of the ph and ppm thing. I thought I would lose her but she is tough and pulled through. She is doing a major stretch right now but growth is slowing down a lot. Her main stem is also smaller in diameter compared to the much shorter first plant. As a result I have had to brace her up a bit and am seeing early signs of her entering pre-flowering stage. Her color is darkening slowly from a light lime green with a mottled coloration to a darker more consistent green color. Due to the stress of high ph and nute lockout much has gone wrong with her but I am confidant she will still offer up some sweet THC nectar in a few months.
Well it's been a month since my last update and I am glad to say that I survived the Xmas Season !! I am also happy to announce the the little girl was harvested today on day 83! The buds are a little tighter than my first grow but I assume that is due to the ph and ppm issues I had half way through the grow. Anyway I got a few huge buds and some great average buds from this lady. After trimming I ended up with 5.6 ounces wet and 1.3 oz of popcorn buds and 1.6 oz of trim that I will use for canna budder. Here are a few pics to make your eyes water
I am paper bag drying then mason jar curing. Next girl will be chopped in about 3 weeks or so. I will assume that the buds will tighten up a bit once dried.
