Hello first time grower here. So ill make it quick. My humidity in my room fluctuates between 25 and 45 i must keep a window cracked too keep the ridiculously hot 1000 watt hps cool so is it wise too get a humidifier to help increase RH or are those 15727669912922499762566768183260.jpgnumbers ok?

Higher veg humidity 50-70%, flower 50-60% and can be dropped near end of flowering to around 40%. I grow in low humidity and the only humidifier that has worked for me is an "evaporative" humidifier. I took it out of the tent and will be bringing it back next run, but outside of tent in a file cabinet (no drawers) pushed up to one of my tent socks. I have a radiator heater in a file cabinet too. Inline fan sucks it all in nicely.

35 to 45 would be acceptable for mid-late flower.

Low humidity causes plants to transpire more, putting a heavier load on the root system. It can also cause over feeding issues, as your going thru more fluids. Humidifiers, wet towels... do what you can to stay in the sweet spot. I've used a bucket half full of water with a towel hanging in it. Fan on towel.. VPD chart will help correlate temp to rH, to stage of growth.

I'm on my third grow with rh averaging around 30 using more passive methods to keep the rh up like wet towels just to get up to 30. It grows weed but it's not ideal. I'll be adding a humidifier when I get to it but I have had other additions to my grow that needed to happen first.

Hello,
I have been away from the forums for some time. I've been running some experiments and my goal has just been to grow the highest yielding and most beautiful flowers I can. With that being said, I have also had the secondary goal to eliminate variables. Why? Because the less variables the less chance of botching a grow and also consistency is always ideal. So my thoughts on humidity are this; You can definitely follow a VPD chart. This is the most ideal environment possible in regards to RH and Temp but do those small differences between early and late flower matter? The short answer is no. Not a single bit. If you want to spend $100's to try to perfect it like I did you can and it is nice but it is not necessary. If I could go back to my first grow I wouldn't of spent so much money and energy on it. Looking at your setup, you could get by with a $15 Vicks humidifier. Fill it up once a day. You can take it a step further and get a controller for $50 to auto shut off when the humidity is where you want it. So where do you want it? 75 degrees F and 65% RH +/- a few points wont hurt in any direction. Start to finish. the best thing is as your plants get bigger and transpire more you will find the humidifier isn't needed and they will level them selves off at this range. Keeping your grow area at this rate consistently also has many secondary advantages. 1. Perpetual growing and selective harvesting; you can harvest whats ready and start new grows all at the same time. 2. Drying ; you can dry your flowers in the same environment (shield from light) and not worry about over drying or mold growth. This also allows you to keep odors down if that is a concern. Once Dry throw into Jars for curing and remove them from your space smell free. That's my 2 cents on it, take it or leave it lol.:vibe:

Happy growing mate!

Thank you very much. I just purchased a tao tronics humidifier and we will see how well it does but im hopeful haha. Im really just trying to get cycles going so i never run out of flower. I have 1 seemango. 1 purple haze. 1 green crack and 1 auto bomb in flower right now with a berry bomb and bubblegum + that sprouted 2 days ago. And i have a pineapple express, dark purple and narco purps at 2 weeks since germ.
