Honestly, butter is probably the only option at this point, since the water and butter will separate naturally. Vegetable glycerin is a no go, do to water content....I no nothing about BHO, and have no desire to learn. You could have done some type of everclear/alcohol extract....I usually cook off a little of the alcohol...the water would have still been left in there, due to the boiling point of alcohol is lower than water, but it probably wouldn't hurt anything (you would not have been able to use any of that water, though...I would have used that to put in my veggie shakes, for breakfast).
