Photoperiod Repros and possible crosses

Hello again AFN,

It's been a while....I hope everyones been keeping well.

I haven't been active for some time now, lazyness, poor health (not Covid!) too many irons in the fire, diminished energy resources. But now sheer boredom has got me back.

I've given the autos a rest, been growing strictly photos for around a year, and mainly been sticking with ACE Seeds.

This run however will be E$kobar's Chocolate rain x Amnesia Haze F2s, 12 of these, I plan to find a nice male, or 2, and make a Repro Run, F3s if you will. It's a small batch size to work from, but I'm not looking to sell the seeds, just start stocking for the future.

Then 9 Satori from Mandala Seeds. Again, find a nice male, and make some F2s, this is a very stable strain so should be a doddle.

5 Blue Chem, also from E$kobar.

2 freebies from Hyp3rids, Vietnam Black, I had 4 but 2 didn't come up.

Males will be isolated in the grow area, using a big clear plastic tub, a computer fan, and some heavy filter material, I'll document that when I get there.

Plants were started in 1 liter pots, 28 all together. All seeds are regular, so HOPEFULLY, a 50/50 split male to female should give me 14 female plants, but we all know how that goes. I've only given them a week veg, they are all 10 week plus finishers, so there is plenty of time for them to fill up my small space. They were flipped yesterday, so now the exciting part begins.

I'm kinda settled on my nutrient regime now. Guanokalong complete mix, Bloom fertilizer from BAC when needed, fishtank water most of the time.

Im on week 1 since flip, no signs of sex on any, maybe a bollock appearing on a Satori, time will tell. My plan was to cull the earliest showing males, so I'll let it play out and see what occurs.

I've now split my space horizontaly, to maximise space, and allows me to grow extra plants. One drawback is, the top area can get warm late in the day with the Grow Light Science 300 underneath, it can get to the low 30sC, so I'm playing around trying to change that, but it's not been to much of a problem.......so far, you never know.

Satori is looking really uniform, which is to be expected, it's a well worked strain. A slight variation in the ChocAm. Around a 70/30 split, really sativa looking, and short squat indica.

The Vietnam Black really need potting on, they are in 3/4 liter pots, and they want to get going, but I don't really wanna pot on until they've shown sex.

Here is a bud from the last grow, just finished drying, needs a hair cut.

C5 Haze x Kali China, Ace Seeds. Enormous buds, everywhere, it's kind of an Ace Seeds trait.

The Bangi Haze I've just finished was chunky, and the HashPlant Haze x Kali China gave a couple of baseball bat style colas, just as thick too. Huge yields.

Ahhh, dwelling in ACE's garden is fine place to be- .... They have put out some fantastic stuff last year, like the New Caledonia! I've gotten to see some grows of select pheno's, a few with red-blood sap no less ... they were damn nice buds too!
BTW, you did miss a fabulous auto Zam I grew last year; what a treat she is too! I got a very nice pheno- Allow me to review for you here.... And thank you for waving her in my face several times-
..... one of the nicest auto's I've had in fact! Aroma settled on an enticing blend of citrus/metallic, licorice, dash of sweet floral... very nice Sati' type high, with a decent body relaxing element to her as well... She was quick too, 8 weeks about!

Your line-up sounds interesting mate, I'll have to look E$kobar up....
Satori is a sure winner, and I'm still waiting for somebody to bloody make some fem's! ...
At another private from I'm at, Satori is a popular and respected cultivar used in a variety of breeding projects. One chap made a Satori x Original Haze F1 that shown like a prom queen in every grow so far! .... did we talk about The Door x O.Haze before, and me waiting for this crazy fast cross to become available? I ran that OD's last season, and she is everything as advertised! ...more on that later,...

VB, there's another choice heirloom type some of the real Sati'-nuts over there have been running and breeding with... I hope you get a gal, and she isn't a 16 week bloomer .... some of these guys who run these super long cycle Sati's are seriously dedicated to the task, and the unique high they offer!
One guys currently has an OHz that's a dead ringer for the Dr.Grinspoon bead-on-a-string bud pheno,... it looks like a 'fro now, dunno how the hell he's going to harvest and dry that wad, as he has her well woven together!

From what feedback I'm seeing, the warmer T's will be well received by the Sati'-dom. crew .....

Buds pics are juicy! What sort of aromas did you get off them?
The Zam x KC comes well recommended at that forum as well, ditto for the other crosses with it... I've not run anything KC yet, she keeps getting bumped by other stuff (seed sharing at this place is off the charts!)... Ahh but I have run a nice New Malawi Killer cross, NMK x Orange Glue, last season as well,
private bred... Both were very strongly NMK dom., I can't see or smell a hint of the O. Glue in them. As expected, it's a fierce Sativa high mate, I was warned by the breeder that she can be a real cruise missile ride, no soft dreamy magic carpet ride sativa-style from it at all! This is that freak-out psychoactive high that some poor sods experience if they overindulge- ...so interesting juxtaposed to the DOHz cross, a much different high... same Sati' coin, opposite sides! Now I sorta know what a cracking buzz Golden Tiger must have offered,... Woooo!
One guy made shatter from NMKOG, had a very rough night, and never hit that again- this from a heavy smoker- ... (get with me in PM if interested)
