Lighting Reliable Alibaba Suppliers & Light Builds

I found the item(s) on the Meijiu site finally. Too late. I ordered the Kingbrite with Cree. The plan was the Meijiu no red on the board and add the strip, but time zones, delays...didn't work. I can't stay up that late for real time comms!!! Next time...

Did you get the new version with the 620, 660, 730 Osram? The price is basically the same as the vendor in the USA for the strip.

Mine is just 660 and 730. I think I may have stated it wrongly in my journals. Two out of my three 800 boards are in 3000K. They have a ton of 620-630. So went with 50/50 of 660 and 730, as that is whats lacking with white lights. Also, the Emerson effect this combo creates is an interesting idea. I just got my reds turned on so lets see!

They only sell the 50/50now. I asked when I ordered mine. I pointed it out that the text still showed 3 kinds.

Actually, 50/50 makes much more sense when combining with QBs. Both V1 and V2 spectrum chart for the most common 3000K and 4000K shows a big spike at 620-630nm. So there really isn't any need to add more. Especially since the board only has 18 slots for the diodes, I would like to maximize it with spectrum that the QB boards actually lack.

Which is why I opted for MH UVB lights as I feel the MH spectrum will fill in the blanks of the QBs. Although only an hour or two a day, I hope the UVB and blue will give better terps and denser buds, along with more potency.

So far, am having an issue getting an even spread with these MH UVB lights. The fact that I'm covering almost entire grow area with boards, at close distance is not allowing me to place the bulbs further away. The light is very concentrated at 40 degree angle to maximize UVB output. Currently placing them on the top side at an angle. Slightly better than shining on top with the LEDs.

Since the UVB effect is cumulative, I hope the uneven spread won't matter too much since I move them daily.

I got my reds turned on after the stretch had finished and I got them same hight as everything else and the buds are looking better than anything I’ve grown yet. Bigger too, and that’s barely half through flower now.

Looking at the genuine and other manufacturer they both look like plastic driver housing. Any issues with that?

Title of the product "new led grow light strip 3030 620nm 660nm 730nm strip with DC plug for flowering" but the detail is only 660/730.

I only bought the boards from meijiu. The drivers came from a different place. Same model tho. I like to have the option to turn each board off and on, just when I need it. And no, the plastic makes no difference.

I am currently in discussion with Kingbrite on a number of components to build my own single cob units. I have 6x CLU048 1212's extra from an upgrade project so I figured why not!

I'm a bit iffy on all the extra fees that may pop up and totally kill any savings from just going and buying them from Canadian distributors (which are ridiculously priced comparatively). They have said that the best/cheapest option is to ship via DHL (still $70US for shipping), but you can bet that there will be brokerage fees on it. I'll try to keep on the tracking and pay online as to avoid additional COD fees.

Could anyone else share their experience with ordering from Kingbrite? How did you pay and were there any other costs involved?

+1 for bava
I had a great experience with them... even made the docket/invoice cheaper to lower my import tax.
Ordered on friday and it arrived on monday china to ireland

I bought a Kingbite advertised as " HLG 550" its 480 LM301b Cree 660. Basically I'm happy with it. Has a potentiometer and not a dimmer as such, plate/heat sink is basic, setup is easy. Read up on Wago blocks before you break one. If I do it again, I'd seriously look at a spydr board. Meijiu was my first choice and should have stuck with that, and a straight white light board and extra add on red 660/730 strip and driver to use when the reds are needed. Delivery is fast...ordered Sunday night (Monday in Shenzhen) and set up growing on Friday aft. Import, no duty, just $38 taxes.

Thanks for the input @Minion
What do you mean by reading on Wago blocks before you break one?

I have placed my order at Kingbrite for various COB build components. I guess they are in the middle of a holiday over there and will be shipping out on the 10th. Things have been smooth so far, they even said they would lower the shipment value to pay lower taxes. But fingers crossed that it gets shipped with no hang ups and no ridiculous additional costs.
