Real Science vs Bro Science: Ohhh some of you are NOT going to like this!

Ugh 4 hours long though... that's where these podcasts lose 95% of people. They need to find ways to truncate shit. It's like the Adam Dunn Show. 1 hour of actual conversation, 2+ hours of circle jerking.
If they are yapping more than 5minutes I'm gone..

I say Bro.
How is all of that added stuff going to be in the water he give to the plants? Some will be converted to be usable by the bacteria in the brew process, but most won't.
Now, the plants that gets the "solids" after the water is drained will get the most benefits.
If he applies it while most of the material is suspended, he'll get better results and false impression that all those added products work great.

Science or broscience? lol

it would be ok if it wasn't 55gal and directly applying it sediment is were the benifical stuff really is but to be honest to tell microbe activity ect I need a microscope but as for non value I would say it's low if only the tea is being used when I make mine for example I use 3teaspoons of my bloom uprisings 1tsp of mykos a tsp of kelp meal and a bit less than a tsp of Epsom salt the I water plants and when I get to the solids I evenly distribute it so it can continue breaking down.

And you could have all that and more by skipping the tea and top dressing with the compost!

Ya but I use it to jump start the break down process as I run no till 1gal pot up to 3 so it seems to be more benifical I've not had the time to run 2 of the same strains with that tea compared to airated water but it seems to work well and I only need to do it 1 time.

There are so many variables especially with so many phenotypes. I'm poor and can't afford to buy fertilizers, lights, humidifiers, odor filters, etc. so I have to grow outdoor which throws up another huge variable, the weather, temperature and humidity. Making my own compost is easy. The only tea I use regularly is espresso grounds. Autos are the only dependable plants I can grow because of our heavy, rains that come in the fall when the buds finally get thick enough to give you a total loss from mold. The autos give me a crop before the fall rains as do some of the F1 fast versions of photo plants like sugar black rose. Only throwin' in my 2 cents because of the good luck I've had using compost and tea. My plants are huge, happy, healthy and are too fast for any serious insect issues.

For me, the question is How long does it take for the compost/top dress to break down and worms have their way? We aren't growing trees or perennials. If your growing autos your on a short clock. In my case, I'm currently growing in sips w/cover so the top dress isn't really getting watered in. Besides, you know stoners aren't happy unless they're messing with something.
