New Grower Purple Jems first auto log

What a difference a couple of days make...and a better light. They all only had 4 leaves this morning and now all have 6. Fed them a little biobizz grow and roots excelerator.

I had been keeping the pots for J4 and J5 moist but they have not sprouted. I unburied one seed while watering. It had split and looked a little brown inside but still mostly white. I was able to carefully open it up and covered it with dirt again. We'll see hopefully they'll hurry up.

Ohh yea, they are starting to show that JEM vigor now. Looking like a good start to a good run torch! :booya:

Houston we have a problem...or two:

Too hot in the dome as J1's curled edges show.

J2's correcting nicely:

J3 looking nice just a little curl.

Problem #2 mold and roots coming out the bottom. The paper I used to hold in the dirt has started to mold...Yikes.

Time to transplant early...Root ball not ready.

Not the gentlest transplant but not the worst one I've done either.
We'll have to see how they go from here. I put the bottom 3rd of the pot was my amended soil and the rest was a spent soil and FFOF mix 50/50. At this point I will move into water only until I see some deficiency I need to correct for.

J4 has been lost in a bucket of dirt during transplant. J5 was recovered and the seed had not cracked. Soaking in water again and will see how it goes.

Goodluck... a couple of my transplants this grow have been a little rough too. Looking good tho!

I don't know the temps but they were in a propagation dome and I had just moved it closer too the light which was already pretty close. The HQI MH gives off more heat than a normal MH. I need a better veg situation; I was planning to veg them a bit inside and then move them out side to the green house. They may have to make the move early. It could be nute burn as they are still showing signs and I meant to do 1/4 strength feeding but due to bad math did just under full strength.

So I tested my soil ph all look to be 6.5. I'm pretty sure it's nute burn. J3 took the worst hit. It seems limited to 2 leafs mainly but they actually cracked when I moved them. J1 has a couple leafs that look affected but are still flexible. I guess we ride it out and see how they do.

Yea I would agree with you on the nute burn. The edges of the leaves look like they could be a little hot as well. No worries tho mate, they will probably pull through, I just wouldnt hit them with anymore nutes for a while. Sending quick recovery karma your way torch

Hard to believe it's almost 2 weeks

J1s - Cloven and curled leaf. Slight tip burn. Still growing a little, I think the worst is over.

j1burn.jpg

J2s - Seems to be the least hit by nute burn but the slowest to recover. Growth has stalled.

j2burn.jpg

J3s - Crispy but seems to have more growth then the other two. Wow! Glad my miscalculation was with organics as I can see the same mistake being devastating with chem nutes.
