build a baffle box around an ac unit

used a portable window ac unit
build a box around the hot air evacuation and duct off to used air exchange then duct off ac unit to light
once this is made encase the ac box in card board and foam box it is bigger than a portable ac unit but will run quiet and cool well

i assume you can't tap into any existing ducting from ac in the house?
but you said between floors???so maybe?
you can even try to cool the outside of the house with a soaker hose at the hottest times of day to help but not very stealth:)

I built a shed before w/ a double roof that used a soaker hose to cool the roof and ran off to water flowers outside the shed
it kept the extra load off the ac unit cooling the lights inside
what lighs were you using again?

Hey buddy Im happy to hear about your little girls and send more female karma. I hope you have thought of a way to get your temps down, it sounds like it is going to be pretty tough getting it where you want it. What is your light cycle? if you can have them off at the hottest part of the day and on at night so they stay a little cooler around the hottest part of the day. Also maybe freeze some water bottles and continually switch them out. Sweat them into a pan or tray that you can dump every so often. thats my :2cents:

That's a great idea... I never thought of freezing jugs of water... That would certainly help with cooling.. Thanks brother!

Thanks, that too is a great idea. My lights are on (19/5) basically set to kick on at 9:30 pm and run until 4:30 pm... I have my timer set like this so my 240w Blackstar is less likely to be heard by those in the house. I like the blackstar, but the do tend to hum a bit.

Ya, I am in an attic crawlspace and I don't have any AC running in there or even a pipe I can bleed cool air from.

I like the idea of freezing gallon jugs of water and using them to cool the tent and then when they melt, I'll transfer them to my aerator to give the water a little extra boost of o2....

I guess I could switch my lights to start and stop earlier during the heat of the day.

Thanks guys!

Glad you got some great advice and ideas here Mellow! Everyone gave you some great ideas. Definitely switching your lights to run at night and off during the day will definitely help as well. Awesome on the AA girls!! :ladies: So happy things are looking more up than down right now for ya!! :smokebuds:

WVR..

Thanks bro.. It usually takes a couple of days to get out of the funk.. :peace:

But seeing some females gives me hope!

sending some female karma as well. Along with some cooler temp karma :wiz: I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Thanks all..............I appreciate the female kharma..!

Update.... I came home from a long weekend and checked my plants today..... My AA's were really dried out and wilted badly from lack of water..

The smaller plants that have not sexed yet were still nice and green, but the AA's are looking pretty sad...

The AA's still have some growth that looks ok next to the main stem, but I hope I haven't killed them by lack of water.

I watered pretty heavy before I left, but they really sucked up the water.

Do you all think they will come back?

I was starting to get some nice little bud formations on them. The smart pots I have my plants in (1 has two AA plants & 1 has just a single plant) The one with two plants are bushy and the single plant is tall..

Holy crap, I hope they don't die...................:help:

Man, this has been a tough grow so far...

If they are just a bit wilted they will come back fine. If the leaves have dried out, then they probably won't come back. But I wouldn't give up on them. Just a good watering and you should know within a day how they are responding to it.
