I do believe I have an envoirnmental issue. The heat is too much as my temps spike up to over 100 degrees during the day. I have no way to cool my grow area any better.

This really sucks, I have had all males so far.... I am starting to worry that I won't have any medicine for my PTSD which seems to be getting worse as the days go on without anything to medicate myself.

I'm just trying to hang on and last until I get something to take this fucking depression away!

Maybe I could deal with the depression, but my mind seems to never be at rest and events play over and over in my head...

I am loosing the battle with this I fear. It sucks not being able to use something like MJ legally that is able to help me. I hate taking anti-depressant meds that don't work and have nasty side effects..

I'm sorry bro... I wish I was able to help you out. One of my dearest closest friends suffered from PTSD from being a POW in Vietnam. All of the meds the VA gave him he hated and they never worked. He smoked all day long because it was the only thing that helped. I know my words don't make it easier but just know there are those of us who do care and would help if we lived closer or were able to in any way. I hope for your sake and those like you, that MJ will be legalized as soon as possible so you don't have to deal with such anguish. Are you sure there is no possible way to cool down your grow area? You know we're all here to help... Is it in a window less room or something? Fans or A/C could help. Even an inline fan. Sorry I don't know anything about your set up.

I have been looking at portable AC units.. I grow in a crawl space in SUPER stealth mode. My wife doesn't even know I am growing or more specifically (trying to grow) MJ. So any cooling device would have to be very silent.

I would drink a gallon of warm panther piss if I thought it's help me get through PTSD. I do know that to beat PTSD you must go to counseling. I have always suspected that I suffered from this and it is finally a relief to know that I'm just not crazy as people always thought I was.. Ok maybe a little crazy.. haha

It sucks, because you don't feel as strong as others when you suffer from this.. Why does it affect me and not others who experienced the same type of stuff. I luckily learned when I was a young man that boozing just doesn't fix it and it makes me feel bad the next day.

MJ has none of those after effects, but I do notice that my depression worsens when I don't have MJ to medicate myself. It's a vicious cycle..

I love MJ because it calms my mind and allows me to focus, sleep, eat and the depression seems to lift.

Hmm... is the crawl space under the house? I'm only asking because a friend of my mother in law grows under his house and I could ask through the grapevine how he keeps his area cool. I have tried the portable A/C route to no avail. I ended up returning it and that make and model wasn't quiet. It wasn't loud but I fear your Wife would hear it. We'll sort this out for you bro. Between all of us we can find a way to get your temps down.

I understand completely. My Wife suffers from RP and Usher Syndrome. Going slowly blind and she's nearly deaf. MJ helps with the depression and quality of life. My heart goes out to you bro. We'll get you up and cool runnings for sure!

Ah Mellow, sorry to hear about all this. No chance of doing something outside? Maybe in a garage, a tent setup in the corner and some boxes or shelving strategically placed to hide it? An old shed? At a cousins house? That's such a bummer that you have to keep your plants secret from your wife. It's so much easier with a supportive partner on your side. But like Rebel says, we're here, virtually, fur sure!

My crawl space is on the 2nd floor. It's a storage area / crawl space. I have a fan for air circulation and my carbon filter and fan sucking hot air out. I am trying to route my cool air intake from a better source.

In that I mean I'm trying to get fresh air in and not use the hot air that's circulating. I am going to try and start some outside and see if I can get them going. I have not had much luck with outside growing, but what the heck..

Ya, but I am growing SUPER STEALTH. I have to keep all noise and odors to a minimum because of that....

GOOD NEWS !!! :dance: I have 3 AA's that I now know are female.... I killed another male AA off today, but I can clearly see the nice long eyelashes on the girls...


I still have some PAK, Gigglejuice & Jems that are only a couple of weeks old and I am hoping that they are females or atleast one strain has a female.. I think 4 or 5 females in my grow area is just about right.


My conditions are not optimum because high spikes in the temperature of my grow area. I think I am getting more of the cooler outside air into the plants as well. I also hung my carbon filter & fan with a truck innertube and that helped with vibration / noise reduction enough that I was able to adjust the speed of my fan and take more hot air out as the cooler comes in.... Thanks Muddy!

I did give them a drink of 1/4 strength nutes in aerated water today (only the ones that sexed).

The smaller ones were given a drink of water with a 1/4 teaspoon on Great White... Maybe that stimulate good root growth. I transplanted one from a party cup into my 50/50 mix of OF & HF and I figured I'd try the free sample I got from Great White.

Problem is, I know which one the PAK is, but I mixed up the gigglejuice and JEMs... I'm sure if any are female I will get help identifying them.

Things are looking up on many fronts today....

One concern I have is my soil PH is running around 6.8 to 7.0.. That's high and I forget at the moment how to lower it.... Stoned I guess...!

I will do a search to get the answer or chime in so others will be reminded as well. Thanks All....

Oh and I almost forgot, I gave them aerated water with a 1/2 or 1/4 tsp of Cal Mag the last watering. My last grow the plants suffered from this deficiency but still did well..

I only gave the cal/mag to those plants that were near sexing.. I estimate that they were about 3 weeks old when they were given it.

Hey buddy Im happy to hear about your little girls and send more female karma. I hope you have thought of a way to get your temps down, it sounds like it is going to be pretty tough getting it where you want it. What is your light cycle? if you can have them off at the hottest part of the day and on at night so they stay a little cooler around the hottest part of the day. Also maybe freeze some water bottles and continually switch them out. Sweat them into a pan or tray that you can dump every so often. thats my
