Indoor Professional cannabis growers!

Add away medi

Here is a grow video of the nutrients I am currently using, skip to around 4mins this when they harvest and hardly any yellow leaves and they been flushed for a week.

I see a lot of proper grows that turn out with plants lush and green rather then a plant looking sad and all yellow. I just wanted to see the views of others, as i like I said above you see so many forum members not just here at AFN stating the leaves must be yellow to harvest.

Ill call in muddy for some advice if u don't mind.:Sharing One:

Ok just a guess here, but could be that forum users care more about tatse of own product and commercial, well it's all about making money? I guess organic users may not worry so much.

I would definitely never say leaves must be yellow to harvest, for one there are a lot of genotypical/phenotypical variations, I'm growing one now for instance that turns all sorts of colors toward the end. I'm at least a little bit curious if part of the reason commercial operations are green when they finish doesn't have more to do with the state of maturity. That's pure speculation though, I wouldn't have any way to prove it.

There is a big difference I think between commercial and medicinal. Commercial being all about money and profit and as quick a turn around as possible so not too interested in quality, while the medicinal side would have so many regulations to follow as it is being given out as medicine via doctors rather then for pleasure. Plus it would be consistently tested to remain consistent.

Which is why i asked, The med side are growing and harvesting green plants yet you see amateurs (ie its not your job) ending up with yellow plants. I have harvested both yellow plants and green and have not noticed any side effects.

I'm guessing the yellow just means you really flushed it, but like medi said you're not smoking the leaves so shouldn't matter too much what their color is.

Type into Google "medicinal cannabis grows" and scroll through and view some of the massive grow ops out there and there is barely a yellow leaf in sight.

You could nip down the local dispensary, (how id love one of them here) and check the buds with a scope? ask for there freshest, newest bud that has just come in and grab a sample. This would give ya some idea as to the maturity of the plant when it was when chopped... No?

I agree with the sentiment re: commercial op VS home grow. A commercial grower, med or not is out to make enough to keep his business going and make a couple bucks. They are going to grow in a manner that optimizes for their business and I am going to optimise for my own.
I like to start my flush t about 60% cloudy, two weeks after that is generally when I harvest I do this to insure there is nothing left to interfere with the taste and burn. Most often I get die off of the fan leaves.
It would be nice if we could get a commercial grower to let us know.
