I picked up a set of new bags today at the hydro store, Sean's 1000 Watt 100% mesh Bubble bags.
I was skeptical at first that the all mesh design would allow the trichs to be more dispersed over the area of the bag, which of course makes it hard to collect.
I ran all my trim through them and was pleased with the quick drain of the work bag (1st bag, 220 micron), which I definitely like in it's all mesh form compared to traditional solid sided bags; it seems to let way more trichs through on the first run.
The second (160 micron) bag was the most frustrating to use as I expected it to be and managed to get trichs all over the walls of the bag instead of at the bottom in a puddle... I left them there for the second run when I will be more careful.
On the third (90 micron) bag I waited for a bit after pouring the water so the trichs would already be at the bottom when I pulled the bag and it worked much better than my attempt with the 160 micron...
The fourth bag (75 micron) is very similar to the 90 as you might imagine....
The fifth bag (25 micron) was great to have as 100% mesh due to the already slow drain of that size screen, other than that it's the same as a sided bag.
Overall I'm happy with the product,
very nice high quality German filter screen, and it has a lifetime warranty which is always nice. The price is a bit high from the retail store but I'm sure there are cheaper ways of getting them...
As far as yield goes I'm guessing but the three big chunk puddles of hash I pulled from the first run will probably add up to around a half ounce maybe more, and that is from 4 quart freezer bags packed with wet trim, and 1.5 oz of bud from my Purple Plush Berry harvest Not bad for a first run with 5 gallon bags
Purple pile of goodness to top it off!
25 mic bag:
Gonna go do a second run on the same trim now....
