I am glad I found this forum before I started and got myself any equipment probably would have wasted a good bit of money. Reading through the journals helps to. Can't wait to get started.
I know I gave up on that idea not long after I thought about it haha I'm set my first 4 seeds are going to be from fast buds will do a GSC, blackberry, six shooter and was thinking about west coast og but the description about how it smells has put me off.

A good list, I'd personally drop the eazy rollers for some good old fashioned jack chain with s hooks. Also a role of duct tape will come in handy when you're connecting up. As for PH meters, I don't use them, and I believe I can grow well without them. As for strains,it's a good idea going for a swift girl (sweet fast bud#2?) and having longer growers (think big?) so you can get a quick harvest in and also grow some monsters for later. First setup is heady times! Good luck and enjoy

I think of it like different strains having different windows of opportunity to harvest, within that it's all down to taste and circumstances.
I was thinking that about the ph meters, I feel that may over complicate things and I would spend time trying to adjust the ph when there is no need.
Reading tangs easy auto schedule he uses plain tap water and does fine so I may aswell try, I looked up the local water source to find out about it but the readings I have no clue about haha.
That was an idea I had 2 plants quicker harvest along with 2 longer plants but I seen there was only a week or 2 of a difference so I changed my mind. I'm growing mostly for personal use anyway, buying it is starting to take its toll plus it's never garunteed that it's going to be good.
If all goes well soon as a seed is done another's going in.
Lets not get lost here either.... pH can be the root of all evils if it is off.... I'd suggest using Advanced Nutes and let the nutes correct your pH so then yes, you won't need to jack with it. Now you CAN'T I say can't rely on the seedbanks harvest days..... Some are close but some are not.... I've seen people take auto's 140+ days and they still aren't ready so it's mainly about the grower and your environment.
That's what I will be using AN sensi bloom, carboload and overdrive. So I should be fine hopefully if not I will have learned from my mistake, saying that I would rather avoid it haha
When growing was just an "idea" to me I was looking at the seed banks seeing from seed to harvest in so many days and I thought it was like throwing something in the oven for a set time then it's done how wrong was I but everyone has to learn haha
I'm definitely going to need help at somepoint and I feel I'm in the right place for it.
Orders getting placed on Monday all I will need to get are the airpots and seeds, these may need to wait but in the mean time I can get used to my tent check heat/humidity see how things run.
