Ppms too high for harvest?

St time I've ever heard of trying to harvest by runoff ppm. Usually it's trichromes that count

I usually let soil dry out shit before harvest. Gives plant a couple extra days and reduces water content to save some time drying. I usually dry mine for a week before curing.
I watered last night, early this morning, and I'm chopping one today. My thoughts are the longer and slower you dry, the better.

I don't flush at all. I tried a side by side when I started growing. I could not tell a difference in the flushed bud vs the not flushed bud. So I quit flushing. Havent regretted it since. As long as you dry and cure properly you'll get good bud every time. No need to starve your plants of nutrients she needs in the final phase of her life.

I wasn’t trying to harvest based on ppms. I just wanted to make sure the ppms were not too high before I cut her down. I didn’t want a harsh chemical smoke. The trichomes are perfect for my liking for harvest. Half milky half amber.

Have you ever had a "harsh chemical smoke" from properly dried canna?
I would say no.............no matter if it was organic or chemically grown and flushed or not.
Flushing is "Bro Science".

just for my own clarification guys are yous saying you dont flush A.K.A leaching you just feed up untill harvest ?

I used to just feed plain water for 1-2 weeks, now I just work my way back down to around 250ppm of feed for the last week, then let the plant dry out for a few days without any watering before I chop.

I actually have had harsh chemical smoke from some buds I got from a dispensary but a lot of factors could be into play. Look I was just trying to figure something out and learn, these are my first plants of ever trying to grow anything at all. What’s the need to come down so hard on someone trying to learn?

That’s exactly the kinda info I’m looking for. I didn’t mean to come off as a noob or ignorant, I’m just trying to learn, that’s all.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do fertigate 2 hours before I harvest at the end of the day. I add molasses once a week the last two weeks prior to harvest. The plants stop sending exudates to the roots to encourage additional nutrient production in the last two weeks in order to send ALL of the energy the plant produces to the buds. By feeding the microbes in the root system some carbohydrates they remain in high production providing all the nutrients the plant can use to fatten the buds.

The theory from Harley Smith is that at the end of the day the plant has a full store of energy and the plant begins drying better in a full energy state. It is a proven scientific fact that flushing removes absolutely no nutrients from the plant - period. Tissue samples remain identical from plants flushed vs not flushed.

That said there may be an unquantifiable change in plants that are flushed. This possibility exists because so many peeps believe there is a difference. I do not.

Never bothered flushing mine, and I'd say most if not all the hydro I've had was just plucked out the pipes and hung.
