I don't mind waiting as long as it's done the right way. I also heard some strains don't produce amber trichomes and some keep producing white pistils.

Do you guys implement 48-72hrs of darkness before you chop? I heard plant should be chopped at dawn when lights come on. Said it boosts plants increase in THC by 1/2 to 1%.

Harvest trivia:

It's acceptable to do a partial harvest and wait for lower buds to mature.

This also can open up the plant to allow more light to the lower buds.

I've done this at times out of laziness, or when my fingers give up after 4 hours of trimming.

Also commonly done if you are dankrupt and need a little bit to wait for the rest.

What's up guys.. Day 73...trichs looking a little more cloudy. My LED light is at its max. I'm wondering if it's too much light or is it just right? Don't want foxtails. - depending on trich color I may do partial harvest so lower buds can mature.

Tallest plant is getting 65000 lux, 920PPFD, 60DLI. - Smaller plant is getting 55000 lux, 850 PPFD, 54DLI.

Tent is 80F / RH 47%.

The light is a Mars Hydro FC 3000 EVO (300w).
They say to keep the light 12" away during flowering and they claim the lights won't burn the plants. So other than heat stress, it says the light can't burn the plant. They made this video

Looking fire! I bet you are glad you waited now! Any specific ratio of cloudy/amber you are shooting for!?

I was thinking maybe 10-15% amber. Is that a good percentage? I don't know what growers usually prefer, but I would like a heavy stoned.

My tent stays at 80F day and 73F at night holding 40% RH. Is that too hot? Will I lose potency or I should be OK? I don't want to lose terpines or see the trichomes degrade. The smell is great, smells potent.
