I also have a P900 in a 4x4 space of an 8x8 tent, Is it corect the only true light it gets is directly under the led? Should i be lining up 3-4 plants directly under led and thats it?

Whats the most area it would efecently cover in a 4x4 space at 24 inches?

I understand, what is the intended use? When is the ideal time to use it. When do you recomend useing it?

Threw veg the whole time?
Threw flower the whole time?

when do you take out of seeding and switch to veg?

So the intended use for the CREE XML2's is to add a white supplemental light to our narrow band 3w LED spectrum.

Seeds & Clones don't necessarily need deep blue or deep red light for growth, in fact too much red or blue can be potentially harmful to the the young plants. The XML2's alone provide the perfect white light for seedlings and clones. Many growers just use fluorescents for seed and clone development, because they too emit a white light.

I would switch on the VEG light after about a week to a week and a half, if you are growing Autoflowers from seed (2 weeks for photoperiod). Start high and work you way low. If it is too intense for the plant in early veg just run the VEG switch then add the XML switch for additional intensity as the plant becomes larger and more hardy.

During the vegetative state the plants will be more hardy and are able to absorb more blue and mid spectrum light. The VEG switch gives your plant the most efficient spectrum of light for that time in the plant's development cycle, which also includes UVA. Adding the XML switch will add more intensity (basically photons hitting your plant canopy), more elements for the plants to use during the photosynthesis process. While plants use mostly the bluer range of the PAR spectrum during this period, mid spectrum light and red light is still absorbed, just in smaller quantities.

Finally during BLOOM, it's about having the most intensity as possible, which we do by adding the deep reds, along with running the VEG and XML switch for the best yield and potency. Autos will start flowering automatically at around 3-4 weeks, you can also just run the VEG and BLOOM switch during early flowering then add the XML switch for more intensity as the plant gets larger and more bountiful.

Hope this helps!!! :pass:

Our P900 should pretty effectively cover your 4' x 4' of space at around 24". The best setup you can get for a 4 x 4 would be (2) P600s, which will be about 25% more light, but i'm pretty confident you won't be disappointed with the results you get from the P900. Light any light source it will be most intense directly under the light, but keep in mind the P900 is super intense, so there will not be a lack of PAR photons hitting your complete canopy in the 4x4.

Just remember to start high and work your way low.

ONe more question,

I have a p900 and a

P9-XML2

What would suit 4 3-6 week autos best?

What's up @xcardplayer? 2 P900s is a pretty bad ass setup in my opinion. Each P900 will very effectively cover a 5 ft x 3 ft (5' x 6' total with two) core coverage area at 18", which is our recommended hanging height during flower.

Always remember to start high and move the light lower very gradually. The P900's are very intense! All strains are going to have different light sensitivities based on their different genetics from all over the planet, so some strains you can get to the 18" hang height, while others won't be able to get closer than 24".

It the light is at 24" the coverage area will be slightly larger, due to the photometrics of the light. Just stay in-tuned to the plants, make sure they are happy, healthy, and continue to pray towards the light.

Happy growing!!!
