Hey tom.

Been scouring through the various posts. Looks like a mighty fine product you have here. I'm very interested in the p600 light which would fit perfectly in my wide - but pretty low height loft space.

My issues come from heat --- summer time is bummer time and having recently bought a Mars700 but I'm gonna have to save that panel for the winter as its just to darn hot for my space.

Do you have any kind of info on the heat output of this light? Or the p300 also??

Cheers!!

Mars II units are notorious for running hot as they use substandard fans in them. If you're careful you can open the unit and replace the fans with high-spec 120mm computer fans. There are tutorials on the web if you look. A pain and it invalidates your warranty, but people have found good success with it. The warmer the unit the shorter the diode lifespan too.

Whats happening @dirtbag Ha that sounds a bit funny... Thanks for your interest in our p600 light. We haven't even had any complaints about heat issues, even with our high wattage panels. We try to use high quality components and fans in our lights, so they typically run cooler than other panels on the market. My only recommendation is to make sure all the vents are not obstructed and you should be golden.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Cheers, Tom

I run their P9-XML2 model. I keep my room temperature at 75F, my tent is consistently 79-80F.

I'm thinking top bulk up my tent (photon6 240w,tgl 60 55w) with platinum p150 , for better light spread and coverage...
do afn members get any discount on amazaon.uk?

What's up @diskokobaja? Unfortunately we are unable to do coupon codes through Amazon. They are a certified retailer, so it's really up to them to run discounts.

AFN members can always use AFN16 on our website for 5% off. We do ship international as well.

Cheers,

Tom
