Fast Buds Perpetual Beast Grow (fast version)

Yep - went mental and spent £8 for a bottle of water! Got a cheap pH pen some very expensive water and got 500g of citric acid on the way. As I'm using Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect grow and bloom I'm going to decrease the pH to 6.5ish in my "watering" water but leave the feed alone.

Careful with the cal-mag. I think the lightmix has a bit in there already.

Had the girls out to give the tent a wipe down. The biggest and smallest plants are Fb Jack Herer grown full Autobeast method and the middle girl is Fb GSC grown in Lightmix + 40% coir using an amended Fb blog feed schedule - am happy.

Also having problems with high pH, so got a cheap pH pen and some citric acid. Did a bit of messing about and can tell you 5g melted into a litre of 7.2 tap water will give you a pH down of 0.9 per 5ml ( of pH down) per litre of water. Dirt cheap - bio biz does a pH down with organic citric acid sources - I just bought citric acid.

Bit of training for young Jack - all the girls have had a good drink of water which I used the diy pH down. When I started growing autos I watched a lot of you tube on training. And up till now I've taken off all big fan leaves, but I saw an Autobeast post were he recommends leaving as many leaves on as possible to drive the plant through the stretch - so I'm doing that, and comparing that with my present big Jack that had early heavy defol. Also these 2 plants JH GSC have different stem tissues. The GSC is more juicy but brittle and must be treated quite gently - the last one I pulled 3 main tops off first training. Whereas the JH has drier woodier stems and branches and is much easier to train. Anyhow - here's my girls in situ.

Have a few 'home improvements' I did to my tent to make it a better growing environment. The tent's in my bedroom and is quite loud - so I swapped out my fan cooled light for a Ts1000 which is utterly silent. And the hot air being drawn out through Ali ducting made a right racket until I took the ducting off and pushed the fan through one of the top ducting vents - much quieter. My six inch clip on fan put tension on the tent fabric and vibrated noisily till I pulled the front guard off and hung it with string - which also means I can direct the air flow and move the fan easily. I spent sometime looking a temp/RH and to improve system stability I left my light on 24/7, it doesn't create a lot of heat but when the lights go off there's a significant temp drop that the girls don't like. I also added a 60w heater (incandescent bulb) which keeps my canopy temps at 27+ which is what Jack likes. I did have some reflective packing that came with my tent - I glued chopped sections of old fishing rods on the backs of them and mounted them at lamp night. I did this as my tent is quite tall and am trying to contain the light-but not impede air flow. Now I know my water is junk and am actively managing pH levels, all these little bits should add up to better healthier plants.
