Cool another soil grower.

How many people are doing a soil grow?

How many are doing some sort of Hydro setup?

I was gonna try it but I couldnt find a cheap small pump around here to try it with and didnt want to have a bunch of money in this.

I'm gonna start out trying a hempy type thing, with soil, that I can pull out of, if things go the wrong way. LOL

Ffof soil here too. Only downside is I hear alot of it comes with insect eggs already in it. Such as gnats. I think this is true because I finally got the bastards out of my grow room (over a week since id seen one) and two days after adding the seedlings to my room I found a baby gnat crawling over the seedling. I say baby cus it was tiny and couldnt fly yet. Total dissapointment. Will be switching back to miracle grow organics choice.

one way to rid your self of those pesky insects is to let your soil sit outside for a month under some cover. Add water every once and a while and stir the soil up real good. It should help to get rid of those gnats

You can microwave your soil to kill any gnat larva before growing. Also you can put slices of potatoes on top of the dirt every few days throw it away as gnats will lay their eggs their first. You can also use products like Azmax to get rid of them. Miracle grow organic is known for really having gants in them. The has been having some quality control issues lately and its been reporting gnats with their soil as well.
