Overwatered??? seedling - PLEASE HELP!!!

Great, thanks for all your responses - got the feed ready - just about to Ph, I hope it's a case of under and not overwatering! Increased dose of nutes should aid the yellowing leaves. All mistakes I won't make next time !
you don't need to increase your nutes you just need to water more often if you can get the ph in the ballpark of 5.7 and 6.2 you should be good when she needs feeding again water till you get a bit of run off with your coco drying up it can cause ph fluctuations a couple of good waterings should sort out any problems good luck with your grow dude if you post a link will tag along :pass:

It wasn't a significant increase, my last watering was with 1/8th strength nutes which I don't think was actually enough, my last grow they were very hungry even though I was advised to go easy. It seems this grow I'm doing things in completely opposite extremes to the last grow..need to find a middle ground (3rd time lucky??) I sometimes find it frustrating PHing with a indicator as under some light it can look bang on, and then it can look slightly different in another light which would mean the ph was too high or low! Think it was okay this time. Will see how she reacts overnight.

Interesting idea with the grow diary. How much time and dedication does it take? My housemate has a good camera, I could get him on board with photography if I offer him some of the end product..

Thanks guys! :headbang::worship:

:toke: Milk'-- these plants are 2weeks, you say..? looks like somethings been off from the start, which typically comes down to either an off-pH issue, or coco that's still loaded with salts (Na), sometime both... Coco is a unique medium, less like soil, more like hydro in many ways, plus it's own CEC peculiarities.... so plenty of research is called for! You absolutely need a pH meter, and a TDS or EC too, now way around it... What brand of coco is it? Brick, or ready made? premium ready made coco is usually okay to use right out the bag, no rinsing first, but it's wise to check pH and test some run-off for pH and ppm,... most other brands you have to prep first, rinsing well with Ca-Mg water, and testing pH and ppm/EC as well; coco natively carries a lot of Na and K in it, and it's the Na that's the bigger problem, as it becomes toxic at low levels,...
...watering seedlings, soil or coco it's best to keep consistent even moisture for a week or so, then let the top zone dry little more, to encourage roots to delve deeper...but not loose crumbly dry! Again, coco is very different from soil is it's water holding behavior and the gas-exchangeable openness of it's structure,... this make overwatering less likely because it drains and breathes better,... like hydro, you need to start feeding almost right away, depending on how much you pre-charged the coco with nute's, if at all; the 1/8 strength starter dosing is fine, though...
...Sooo, at this age, and that size, it's a sure thing they will be badly stunted... keeping them is your call, but balancing what you're likely to get for the time invested, I'd start over after I got my equipment and gathered more info about growing in coco; we have a good section on coco here, and any internet search on coco grow media should yield up some good info as well,...

Hi thanks for your reply! Some interesting info in there. Been doing quite a bit of coco research as my previous grow was in coco, with no major issues, and the only thing different this grow to last grow is the addition of another LED which in turn means I'm having to adjust to this slightly changed, hotter and dryer environment! It's a coco/clay pebble mix which I got from a hydro store, I pre-rinsed with cal mag and seedling nutes, Phd and all that, my last auto's were stunted last grow in veg stage due to a variety of nooby problems but I don't mind making mistakes as the more I make now the more I know what NOT to do in the next grow! I know these may be stunted a bit but I'm not that fussed, I have three plants growing at that one is by far the worst, the other two look okay even if a bit on the small side. If I manage to get 1oz + dry in total I'll be happy, that should last me for a little bit! My first grows are more for fun, to learn, before I really start trying to grow the dankest dank!!

Cheers :d5::smoking:
