Technical Issue Hulkberry Auto - seedling stage, strange leaves, please help.

Yes water/feed the entire pot to 10-20% runnoff when ever you do water. When plants are young I start with once a week to runnoff second week is 3-4 days apart from feeding by week 3 and 4 I am feeding once a day then in flower it’s multiple times a day coco for cannabis is a really good resource for this.

You do not need to fertigate coco every day when the plants are small but you must water the entire pot to 20% run-off any day that you do fertigate. It is all about keeping the cation exchange in the coco in equilibrium. If you only partially fertigate salt build up begins immediately. You almost cannot over water coco

ah okay that makes sense, my only issue is that im gonna have to spend a TON of money on nutrients then which is something i was wanting to avoid. each pot take around 12L of water. thats a lot of nutrients :\

Yeah can’t argue that that’s why lot of us choose smaller pots they don’t need as much volume to get runnoff from. That seems like a awfully lot needed to get runnoff I use 2-3 gallon pots and usually never need more then 2 liters per pot to get proper runoff

no problem, i will do that and report back in a week!

just a quick update, i just did 10-20% runoff, and the ppm in the runoff is 900ppm!

if this is too much.. how can i sort this out? is flushing the only way?

That's borderline being too much IMO you don't need to flush per say. I've done it both ways you could give her more feed now and get the ppm down some then leave her till you think she's ready for feed again or just feed same thing again tomorrow to runoff it will correct it's self out after a couple fertigations.

cheers!

i will check on her tomorrow once shes absorbed some of the water and refeed.

What kind of coco is that? High ppm runoff could be from overfeeding, bad pH and the plants aren't drinking, or it could also be from actual salt that's in coco that's not washed... Either way, it's gotta be flushed out. You can do it with just calmag and water until your ppms match your input, and then give it a good fresh full feeding

This is the coco from Alien Hydroponics.

i will check them tomorrow and see whats happening with the run off

Should be ok... Did you test it? You can take a small handful off the top, mix with RO and so a slurry test for EC. But either way you're gonna end up flushing. Which is one of the good things about using coco

so after feeding 450ppm today, the run off is 1000-1100pm (4 plants, 2 are 1000, 2 are 1100).

is this increase in runoff normal? i heard some say that it is normal for the run off to be more than twice the initial feed ppm.

also, i feed at a pH of 5.8, and the run off pH is 7.6...
