Welcome to my journal everyone, take a sit and spark one because this is gonna be a long post :smoking:

Alright so like I said in my introduction I've been growing photos outside for the past 10 years or so, and this is my first real round with autos (grew a few last year without knowing the beans were autos).

I currently have about 40 autoflowering plants going, 20+ different strains (and more on the way) with ages ranging from 2 to 56 days from sprouting.

Most plants are/were started under a 300w Chinese El Cheapo LED panel, in a tiny tent (45cm by 75cm and 90cm high) for two to 3 weeks before being put outside (I'm in western europe).

Alright so now I'll list what I'm using for soil and nutes and then I'll introduce you to the girls

Soil Mix

  • Cheap base horticulture soil containing peat moss, composted wood chips, dirt, probably humus and other stuff I can't identify
  • ~15-20% coco coir
  • ~15-20% perlite
  • Wood ashes (including last year's stalks haha), eyeballed the quantity
  • Bone meal and blood meal
  • Epsom salts, eyeballed
  • Some compost
  • Powdered egg shells
  • Trichoderma harzianum (GHE bioponix)
  • A small sample of worm castings (not enough to make a difference)

The mix was then watered with some enzymes and some power roots and allowed to sit for about 10 days.

I also have some plants in coco and perlite 70-30% (first time with coco, just experimenting).

Nutrients
I'm using the full Plagron organic line of nutrients, I'm used to those and they usually give me good results

  • Base nutes: Alga Grow & Alga Bloom
  • Root stimulator: Power Roots
  • Enzymes: Pure Zym
  • Sweetener/Trichs booster: Sugar Royal
  • Yield booster/ripener: Green Sensation
  • Foliar feeding: Vita Race + Sugar Royal
  • I also have some Canna PK 13/14 I might test out this round
  • Coco Nutes: Canna A+B

The Strains
  • Sweet Seeds
    • Devil Cream (x3)
    • Red Poison (x3)
    • Bloody Skunk (x2)
    • Sweet Trainwreck (x1)
    • Dark Devil (x3, well 2 and a half because one damped off and the stem broke at week 2 but I'm trying to get it to root again like a clone, more on this later)
  • Dinafem
    • Kush-n-Cheese (x1)
    • Blue Amnesia XXL (x2)
    • Haze 2.0 (x2)
    • Fruit (x1)
  • Zambeza
    • White Widow XL (x2)
    • Critical Kush (x1)
    • AK-47 XL (x1)
    • Power Plant XL (x1)
  • Mephisto Genetics
    • Fantasmo Express (x2)
  • White Label
    • White Diesel Haze (x3)
  • Sensi Seeds
    • Homemade Super SkunkSkunk Auto S1's from last year (x4)
  • Buddha Seeds
    • 4 different auto strains from their 10 seeds pick-n-mix pack. Seeds are unlabeled but there is Deimos, White Dwarf, Red Dwarf and some others in the pack. Help me identify them if you can.
  • Top Tao Seeds
    • Sativa Samadhi (I was given a tester 4-pack, popped 2 that turned out to be males so I popped another one about a week ago. Looking back I should have kept the auto males for breeding but they didn't look too great)
I also got some other auto freebies for my 420 order of photos. I might pop em later in the season when some of these are harvested. There's northern lights, seedsman white widow, more fantasmo express and some others I can't remember right now, will update when I receive the seeds...

Alright now onto the fun part, let me show you these girls next post :)

Sweet Seeds
  • Sweet Trainwreck (day 16)

  • Dark Devil (day 16 on the left, day 10 on the right. day 21 below, after having the stem broken, trying to get roots back...)

    IMG_20160501_184332.jpg
  • Red Poison (day 10 on the left, day 16 on the right)
    IMG_20160501_180713.jpg
  • Devil Cream (day 10 on the left and day 7 in coco/perlite on the right. Leaf burns on the coco one are Co2 burns from me trying a dumb experiment, burning the oxygen in a glass with a lighter and using that glass as a dome for the seedling... The second pic is one that is on day 16 without going under the LED, straight outside. If you look closely one of the first leaves has two blades instead of one on this plant)

  • Bloody Skunk (day 10 both, first one under the LED and the other one outside, huge difference...)

  • Fantasmo Express (day 16 on the left, day 10 on the right)

Thanks a lot man!
It's not as much work as you'd expect tbh, just more nutes to mix at a time.
I don't do anything fancy with my feeding. Everyday I just go through my plants and lift the pots to see how many vegging and blooming plants need watering and plan the amount of solution I need based on that.

Unless I get deficiencies or nute burns I give them the same regimen all throughout veg (except half strength the first week). Then bloom nutes when I get a good amount of pistils, then I start adding the Sugar Royal & Green Sensation only when buds start to meet and form actual kholas if that makes sense.

If I have blooming plants that need boosters and others that don't, I just mix bloom nutes for all of them, feed the ones that don't need boosters and add the amount of boosters needed for the remaining of the solution.

When do you guys switch to flowering nutrients with autos?

Alright, I might have been switching a little too soon on the first batch then, I'll try going with a couple more veg feedings on the next ones.

But the Kush-n-Cheese and the biggest White Widow are still noticeably stretching, i'd say a good 3cm a day (they had 3 or 4 flowering feedings already)
