New Grower ORGANIC SOIL MIXES

Thanks. These pictures we're taken before my feed. I feed every two days between the three plants they take a gallon to feed all three I don't see how they can be robbed of water. I as well decide to water when I see the top is dry and about an inch from the top is dry so I'm still slightly moist on the bottom. I appreciate your help thanks

I have used the go box and found that I only needed the bloom and veg out of the box. To this I added Cal/Mag and Potassium silicate for a PH up. I used Happy frog soil with this for a long time. Now though I have found that mixing my soil and doing one transplant works better with a veg soil mix and a bloom soil mix. Your roots will only grow in to the soil as much as they need nutrients instead of all the roots being exposed to all available nutrients. I veg in a #1 or #2 nursery pot for about 3 to 4 weeks, usually its about 25 average. I run toots organic soil now. The flavor and smell dose not compare to organic bottled nutrients. Not all strains like the same mix so this works best if your growing the same strain over and over so you can fine tune it to your strain. I finish in #15 nursery pots which have about a full bag of soil full. 50% full of veg and 50% full of bloom. I am sure you could do just as good using 5 gallon pots too with half the soil. I pull about 1.5 ounces on a bad grow if the plant dose not like the soil and about 3+ ounces from each plant if I do good with nothing but adding water. For veg I use a little steer manure and lime both are cheep. My manure is about $2.50 and the lime is about $5 if I remember. Its been a long time sense I have bought the lime as it lasts a long time. For bloom I use Bat guano but a sea bird guano would also work as long as it was a bloom guano. I also use the steer manure, bone meal and pretty much experiment with other amendments. The initial cost was a little high at first for all my amendments but in the end it ends up about the same as they last a long time. My amendments don't go sour like bottled nutrients so they last tell I use them all up. In the end this is an easer way of growing organic. I only add water the whole grow and don't worry about feeding, PH or flushing. The plants fade out on there own and turn all sorts of cool colors. Bottled organic nutrients are great but its too easy to over feed or throw off your PH.

Thanks very much

your not off topic....thanks

Down To Earth makes virtually any dry soil amendment you could need for kicking up your organics a notch. The downside to doing full J.A.W. mixes is that you can't effectively flush in a nutrient overload emergency.

ETA.....i never let my medium run dry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! always keep it moist not sodden, its a bugger to master but works perfectly !!!:hookah:
