Organic Forum Discussion

Yeah thats one thing thats been on my buy list here next week actually..Thanks man cuz imo too thats an excellent thing to have from soils and spikes n the like..

Ya kno anything bout the soil rinsing infused nutes out??Just curious if most any soil is worth trying..Im not sure 100% so I thought Id ask..I know it can be worked out but thats a long thing to do for yer soil..lol.what about soaking it for a few days while having either a slow flow of water to continually rinse(I hate wating water anyway ,but jus sayin.?) through or changing it a few times similar to pulling out similar to a water curing process for yer buds??

Hey uh, you guys use Gypsum dust for your Calcium? Found a 5 Lb box of some good looking Gypsum on fleabay for $10 shipped, and I think it's even OMRI listed. Seems like a no brainer. I haven't added any direct Cal source to my mix, and the plants are doing amazing, not showing any Cal def. as of yet. I do have tons of Azomite, Greensand, epsom, and various seaweeds up in there, so it's probably getting a good coverage of the basics. I'm preparing the "stage II level" lol of ammendments, and will likely include the Gypsum.

Yeah I use gypsum a lot but honestly that is about the going price for a bag locally and normally most gypsum is omri listed. It is a very good amendment though, especially for calcium. Probably my favorite. It really needs to be premixed with the soil before the grow but it does work by adding to the top of the soil, just not as quickly.

Those darn little balls lol, they're the reason that the original MG soil was so bad for Cannabis. Like Osmocote, they're great for some plants, but as I found out, turns out that this weed is wayyyy the heck more complex than I thought lolol!

I just found some of those balls in my MG Organic Choice soil too that I mix as about half of my base before ammendments (other half of the base is straight Premier peat), but they do look different and only found a couple of them in a few months. So, not worried about them now.

Ohhh Ok sweet man thanks Brother A4 :pighug:

Yeah wasnt 100% cuz I ve seen ppl say this n that and I always lean towards not being very easy nor easily doable but yeah thats a huge ripe pain in the butt man..Yup never infused or time release blended soils..

No,,you'll be fine man..Just make sure ya got yer mellow NPK and calcium and trace(Micro n macro elements) and added foods n composts n thats it in a rough draft..Small batches wont maintain the heat..it'll cook excellent..just more of a flash cooking if ya will, very short..gets used up fast.so once you get all your components together with the perlite and something for a quick calcium and staying power of calcium.

And dude..yer not messing up brother..yer learning man..relax :pass:

ya aint messed up..yer just spun up cuz amounts and items is confusing..if you look on the sticky..your best bet.ANYONE will tell you this, pick one of a couple or three recipes and decide which one you wanna use thats recommended by ppl whom you trust and have used said recipes..Im only aware of three.two to be a little more specific..thats why once I grew with my rev mix I took that existing template and shifted it a little to improve upon and increased the foods.its simple..just relax n know ya got the stuff for it.just saying to try n get quick and slower blending stuffs for staying power..thats all Im really trying to say..yer fine.the extras are great since they help add and buffer and mkaintain yer mixes...relax n just get yer materials and a cpl totes if ya can or similar.

Thanks man I will take that onboard, here in the UK, "cooking" the soil isn't that easy in the sun-there isn't much of that! I'm going to see what I can find today to add, hopefully it's not too late to ammend this mix-oh well, at the very least I will be half way to a supersoil mix!

Dazed.

aww dude..it aint that tough brother..truly man..have ya read the revs book for example..? If mixed at a decent rate and kept above a 60-70F mark indoors in a tote roughly 25-35 US Gallons.and give it a month and a half or two..three is great too.stir a time er two..man..ya looked at the revs 2.1 Master soil recipe?gather whatcha can as close to that mix as you can possibly get within reason n cost n so forth..I bet ya got a few items or better already man.I know Duggy put a pretty decednt recipe together not long ago, and he uses products there.. I wish I was more familiar with the products man.Thats always baffled me on some level trying to help dial that stuff in with completely foreign materials is tough fer me..lol. I cant brain today..I has the Dumb i love that saying LMAO!

But yeah dude..Ive grown that way a few times with a medium type of amended soil fed with soup type feeds n teas n so on.top coat..whatever..Mushroom compost n cow n frass or meals n humus with some dunks crushed or a cup er so of gnatrol..thats something good for an auto grow.mix when potting and it'll give you a solid start for a while too.cheap and effective. up for other bennie type bacteria for some pests. after brewing a tea top coat..DUDE I got roots popping outta the top of my pot LMFAO!!No shit..I freaked out..I need ta take a picture of it next time i go out..But you can toootally get killer frigin grows that way man..super simple.lime n cal n mag worm castings(a lil light on them for non cooked soil) n another mellow compost n kelp meal and/or azomite for trace elements and other very nice micro n macro elements, bunny turd balls, blood meal or similar,n bone meal and a few scoops of an inoculate , and brew a good tea thats a good kicker strength n mix er good..bout 3 weeks later with a top coat er two n a few fluffs of the top soil. thats all she wrote..lol man worked hard today man..heads hurtin.:pass: :gthumb: ya sorry Im terrible at metric conversions today on the fly lol. head hurts lol

I hear you brother, man I feel for ya, hope the day gets better for you buddy. Really appreciate all your wisdom when you probably dont' feel like sitting typing out a load of tips and pointers so here :vibes: :)

I haven't read The Rev's book yet, I know I know, I'm on it. It's all just money money money, I can't keep spending so much all at once, haha. I have a list of things and they get crossed off when I can afford each one.

So yeah, I'm going to try one place here where I live which is an old style garden supply place, been there for 60 years. Hoping to find some guano, kelp meal or similar to add in. I know my soil isn't up to par yet, but it's the best I can do for now. I can always make some teas and top dress more soil when needed to start.

My soil is outside at the minute in a container with lid. So it is getting some sunshine and not too cold during the night, it's still summer here so, should be good for a month or so yet.I won't be ready to use it for a while (at least 6-8 weeks) anyway, need to grow out what I already have in the tent.....maaaan I'm sooo stoked to be getting this mix on though. I love learning new things-exciting times!

Mmmmm organic buds!lol.

Hey look at this way, my mix is definitely going to be better than what comes straight out the store bought bag, so I winning already!

Positive thinking!

Peace and love to ya all!

Best advice EVER!

With me it's "Stupid' is as Stupid' does"!

Hey check it, my greenhouse Assassin. Just been watering tomatoes etc and took a few out the tent and coudn't resist some shots, it's getting dark so not MEGA clear pictures but she's a beut alright.

DISCLAIMER: No she isn't FULLY organic. I didn't expect her to do shit so when I planted her I used crappy, standard compost with "GROW MORE" added. But I have only fed her organic tomato food and my own high quality-exclusive urine. She looks ace! Going to be a nice cola on her I'm sure.
This shit got serious so I just cut a bunch of flaps to try get the humidity down in there. She is almost 7 weeks but I think has at least the same again to go while harvest.

Hey guys, I got some perlite today and this..

IMG_4020.jpg

All I could find around here, thanks to Dazed Sr for helping me out with this!

Now my question is, how the heck do I ammend my mix with this and perlite when it's wet, cooking in the garden?

Do I need to mix a fresh batch? Hope not!

Any help appreciated guys,

Dazed..
