Take your time. Also, a bigger initial investment in your grow equipment ends up being much cheaper in the long run. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've low balled it on some questionable gear and ended up buying the quality product anyway when the cheap stuff broke. You're not just buying a quality light when you pay more, you're buying peace of mind.

for real...ppm and ph meters....skip the 10 - 18 buck ones from ebay...the longest one has lasted me is about six months...a friend paid aroudn 50.00 for his and it ahs worked for years...just keeps it calibrated with fresh batteries and no problems.

I ordered one of those cheapies once and it was as useful as a big yellow turd. That was one of the low balls I was talking about.

Alrighty folks, still stuck for lighting. I can't find things that would suit my needs. Could someone review those links I put up a few posts ago please? If they're not so good, could someone link me to the parts that I would need?

Took a quick look and this looks pretty good. http://www.budgreen.com/products/product/?id=108. A little more money than the ones you linked to but several advantages. The hood has glass and duct connectors so you can hook it to your exhaust fan for better cooling. It also has an electronic ballast, as opposed to the magnetic ones in your other links. It will run cooler and quieter and should have a longer life. IMO, worth the extra money.

Actually, the veg period on autos is 5-6 weeks, about 3 weeks till sex, then 3 weeks of pre flowering before full flowering starts. Veg nutes should be fed until all vertical growth stops. If you're switching to flowering nutes as soon as the show sex you are losing out on a lot of yield.

give you an isea of nutes, ive never used veg on autos cause any veg period between seedling and flower is so short, most autos flower on wk 3-4 and are seedlings for 2, but as said, maybe its my soil/feed but i always get the same results so whatever works

itll be worth it, ive just spent much too much on tent lights and everything myself but youll get use out of good equipment for years and years of free good smokeables.

...or atleast thats what i tell myself.

that light setup looks good, you will appreciate the air cooled hood once things get crowded
