As
@RYCBAR said some of his pollen wasn't viable.
I don't think it was because it was a reg seed, I think C/S has more to do with it.
I had several strains that gave me non viable pollen or no pollen at all when I was using C/S. I was below 50% average success.
If you are looking to cross a bunch of strains you may want to look in to STS in the future.
Since I have switched over to STS I am at 100% success so far even on strains that didn't work with C/S.
The beauty of STS is you only spray once every 5 days instead of everyday once or twice like C/S.
I just reversed a Cinderella Jack auto and a Blueberry pie photoperiod.
They both have sacs now and today I'm happy to say when I checked my Cinderella Jack I noticed something on some leaves, turns out it is dropping pollen.
I found more often than not with C/S I had to open the pollen sacs (or dry and crush them).
with STS I find the sacs open and drop pollen.
When you get to this point I would recommend you get some black bristo board or construction paper and some water color paint brushes from a dollar store.
The black paper makes it easy to see the pollen.
You can use the wooden or plastic end of the brush to break the sacs on the paper and the brush end to apply the pollen to your receiving plant.
