Seed Stockers Newman’s Solo Wedding Glue

Day 59
I think she’s heading into a stretch phase? Fungus gnat larvae had made her roots look unhealthy so I trimmed some and added new soil around them, this puts soil level just at the rim of the solo making it a PiTA to water. Seems to have paid off though as the roots look good now

Day 60
Some more LST to spread her out as the 6 lower branches were outgrowing the single center branch from my FIM. So I brought those down to an equal level. Removed some foliage to lessen water usage, and ended up removing more once I placed her back under the light to expose nodes. A few days ago I removed a lot of the lower nodes off the lower branches as those don’t amount to much for me often times. Today I am going to hit her with some Stonington plant food and some Fishbone meal per CoM’s recommendation at onset of flower. She seems to be ramping flower up but I’m tempted to try pushing her along with a 12/12 light cycle

Day 68
benefits of adding some Epsom
Thanks for this recommendation it seems to have worked, curious what frequency you might be adding epsom. Weekly? During each fert application? Any insight welcome.

switched her down to 12/12 a few days ago, and she seems to be smellier and have more pistils now. I defoliated the lower leaves and most that looked sickly, again trying to reduce water intake as it’s drinking a lot. Plus it’s nuts leaving in dark for 12hrs always super dry when I get there, as sometimes I don’t nail getting it watered directly before lights out. It’s also incredible how many fungus gnats there are in this solo cup, each watering a ton of worms drain out, and the cycle is coming full circle and the soil teems with gnats surfacing. Kind of taking a backseat approach and trapping them but don’t have the funds to buy another control.

morale on this grow is deteriorating lol I need to see some flowers soon, with my luck the fish tank stand is unsuitable for a photo due to external light leaks and she’ll go hermie on me.

Light intensity question
So since she’s now on a 12/12 cycle should I raise her up for more light intensity? Center of plant now receives 50dli but the 6 outer branches get more like 35 DLI. If I raise the plant until the outer edges receive 50DLI the center shoots to like 75ish DLI. Maybe just leave as is and let it grow up towards the light which is currently 8-9” from canopy?

Day 74
Roots are looking crazy! Maybe being munched on by the gnats has caused them to remain new and fresh. Raw fertilizer on top of the soil. Placing the solo in a yogurt cup increases the sticky traps efficiency by forcing any coming from holes in the cup up past the traps.

Day 78, day 13 flower
Been feeding her a nutrient my buddy gave me last year in a mason jar to try. It’s bio Flores by biocanna. Probably better than the 1-1-1 I have been using now that it’s in flower, I think it’s 2-2-5 plus I’ve been adding the smallest amount of cal mag as it’s being mixed with RO. Feed like this once in the AM, water pure RO for lunch, then typically water RO at 6pm before lights out. Just eyeing the amounts each time too so problems are sure to arrive lol. Tough as nails

she is 12” tall soil to canopy

Light intensity
Tested the light intensity this morning. Schedule on 12/12 as she’s an auto gone photo. PPFD at center canopy is 1400, closer to 1000 at the edges. Canopy is 7” below the light. This puts the DLI center canopy right at 60. This is the most intense I’ve ever had a light on a flowering plant and I think the buds look denser than any I’ve grown before, time will tell
