Still no sexing this Solo. It’s putting in some stretch now that it’s under some more intense light(before it was just on the ground in my tent). So I did some LST, though it’s structure was nice beforehand. I think some leveling of the branches will help alleviate the monster stretch we saw in other wedding glue solos.
before with nice praying
after
watering twice a day now, once she’s into flower eventually Ill defoliate some to lessen the demand
So finally some pre flowers have become visible and it’s a she!
The pre flowers are substantially smaller than any I’ve seen before. So does this mean it is an autoflower or do photos still throw a preflower before a 12/12 switch? I didn’t think they do but I’ve never actually grown a photo. Basically answer me what you would do in this situation. I feel inclined to try sticking with my 18/6 light schedule to see what happens but don’t want to spin my wheels either as this isn’t the funnest to water it 2-3 times a day. So should I run as is, switch to 12/12 or scrap this thing? . Before figuring out it was a she and under full assumption it was a photo I took two clones that I tried rooting out with aloe, honey, and cinnamon. Guess those are a learning experience….the whole thing is really. The plant seems to be continually eating its lowest leaves
I think she’s heading into a stretch phase? Fungus gnat larvae had made her roots look unhealthy so I trimmed some and added new soil around them, this puts soil level just at the rim of the solo making it a PiTA to water. Seems to have paid off though as the roots look good now
First pic, bottom older fan leaf looks like Magneseum deficiency. Dark veining, irregular rust spots on older fan leaves. If you haven't tried yet, maybe look at the benefits of adding some Epsom. There may be other, deeper reasons for it but that is where I would start.
Some more LST to spread her out as the 6 lower branches were outgrowing the single center branch from my FIM. So I brought those down to an equal level. Removed some foliage to lessen water usage, and ended up removing more once I placed her back under the light to expose nodes. A few days ago I removed a lot of the lower nodes off the lower branches as those don’t amount to much for me often times. Today I am going to hit her with some Stonington plant food and some Fishbone meal per CoM’s recommendation at onset of flower. She seems to be ramping flower up but I’m tempted to try pushing her along with a 12/12 light cycle
