Mephisto Genetics Newman attends Mephisto’s Wedding

:eyebrows: Day 68. The healthiest plant I’ve ever grown. I was really hoping she’d throw down some purple like the Mephisto stock photo but frosty and green is fine with me

Looking good man! Mine ended up purple but it smells like chem/rubber. How's yours smelling?
She’s not stinking a ton, but no chem/rubber to speak of. Closest pot I could reference to her smell that I’ve grown is wedding glue. We will find out in time as right now if I rip off a sugar leaf the plant matter smell overpowers. So she’s really not super terpy

Looking really nice!
Both of mine turned so purple they were almost black, the smell also got a lot stronger in the last couple weeks. I chopped on day 77, but your plant is a lot bigger so it will probably go a bit longer, could still pick up some purple and should get a lot stankier as she wraps up.

very nice! I am germinating this strain right now. I'm a new grower - about 1.5 yrs. I grow in coco. I have no soil experience with cannabis. I'm just curious - how do you prepare that soil for the next grow? Do you replace all the soil in the box or add amendments of some sort to recharge it?

:thanks: Similar experience level here started legally growing Sept 30 2021. I’ll be amending the soil with Stonington Blend plant food, azomite, maybe a smidge of bat guano, Fish bone meal. I’ll probably go light this time around though as the soil has only had a single plant run through it and it was well amended to begin with and I didn’t see any deficiencies( I’m a novice at noticing though). I also feed Neptune’s harvest fish/seaweed emulsion every watering in veg and canna Bioflores every watering in flower as I use those products as Ph down to get my water into range. I am hoping to run the same soil until pests or something else spoils the fun and a rinse and repeat becomes easier. Well managed it should last a long time.

thanks for the info. can't wait to see the final buds. I decided to start with coco, and I'm still messing with it. I grow with a coco/perlite mix. I use Royal Gold brand coco. I use dry nutrients - Jack's 321. It's a very simple product to use. I love it b/c it seems more forgiving than the various liquid nutes I've used. I find I do not have to use any cal-mg supplement with Jack's. Sometimes I add Canna's Boost product during flowering. unlike mine, your grow is super clean. you must get some tasty buds.
