Newbie tools, What is needed and why, Come contrbute!

I appreciate all the feedback and happiness with this thread, I wanted to try to give back to the community who has given me so much but also at the same time something useful for the new grower that was a lot of trial and error for myself. I just wish I could still receive the likes and rep that this thread generates lol. ~K, a.k.a PH

Again great info. One tip. I've read you have to be careful during drying to make certain rats and mice don't get your buds. Put out a few drops of 100% peppermint essential oil around and those rodents will go the other way. A few drops on the floor and around the outside of your drying room will work. do not try to substitute peppermint extract for the essential oil. The extract only makes them drunk and they will come back looking for more. LOL

Advice on the GT50 purifier please! I was just curious, since there isn't an outlet inside my tent, would I be able to plug this close by and completely eliminate the need for a carbon filter as stated above? I'm very interested.

If you have a tent full of plants the back ones become awkward to water.I use a length of 2 or3 inch diameter plastic waste pipe to get water to these hard to reach places.
Saves removing front plants, ideal if you have a bad back, like me,it is an essential piece of kit.Thought this tip mite help fellow older growers out there.

Sunglasses, sucks walking out your lab with blind spots.

***. GT50 - Ionic Air purifier - Ozone - specialization - I just have to drop a line about this thing, one of these is about the size of a donut, and can easily clean the smell of a room for about 12 plants maybe more or less depending on the strain. It truly is amazing. Plus it kills all airborne pathogens and bacteria. So double bonus! This will do the same thing as a carbon filter. Do not get near the ozone hole and breath in the air it produces for a long time, Ozone is toxic and will give you mild to severe throat problems within an hour of exposure. Give it a shot http://www.amazon.com/Professional-...tBy=bySubmissionDateDescending#R3ST5WW4C80Z5T

Killijin....... can this hang in the grow tent? I have a hard time believing this is as good as a carbon filter but hey....its cheaper and worth the shot!!

Thanks these sticky threads are helping ALOT!!!!

Old thread, but good one ;) Very complete...

I find that one thing I am really missing is a green light bulb for indoor, so I can go in, check and work on the girls when the lights are off......

Brilliant list :) Seems I have all is needed. I would add contactor t the timer section tho. My ex was having timer issues f years before he realised he needed one o them... Or a really good timer :)
