Yeah I'm hoping that light should be able to get to everything better now. Things are starting to get frosty. I just hope it still goes a few more weeks. I really want those buds to fatten up haha, so im curious im guessing there wont be more buds really forming correct? the ones that are there will just continue to grow larger and denser?
and when my cal mag arrives how does one go about feeding it to the plant, would i just mix it in with the rest of my nutes when i water?
i gotta say for as many little mistakes as i made and snapping the top off and kind of putting this thing through abuse, im pretty suprised at how its doing so far in flower.

Yeah km kind of hoping the same thing. I'm not sure how much buds grow. I have noticed that even some of the hairs are starting to to turn brown on the tips. I thought that's not supposed to happen till closer to harvest. But time will tell how much they will fatten up. It's only at 7 weeks 5 days, so guess still a few weeks or so of grow time anyway.

How cold is the night times your side. Is your grow area pretty stable with temps? Did some reading and early coloring could be a sign of polinating. But dont think it would apply to you as you dont have any polyn hanging in the air.

Maybe its just running its course. Cant see much browing/amber from your pics. If i was in your shoes I would prob worry just as much lol

my grow envorinment is temp controlled wth auxillery heat at 24 degrees celcesius. and im pretty sure its not pollinating itself, theres no banannas on my plant or male pollen sacs, and no there not many brown hairs just a few and its just the very very tip of the hair. it could have been from me touching them. its definitly not anywhere near harvest time yet i wouldnt think. im betting easily 2 weeks at least left. im just going to let it do its thing. and hopefully start seeing those buds grow bigger and bigger,lol

okay well my abused baby is officially 8 weeks old today, im just posting one quick pic since i just updated a few days or so ago. ill give it another 3 or 4 days before i post a larger update. still waiting for my cal mag to arrive, it should be here by tuesday in the mail. and i also ordered an actual ph test pen. currently im using a liquid drop test system and i find it very annoying, so the pen should make things much easier, and good to have for any future grows. so far my buds are looking prety sparse, they are there. but havent gotten big yet or anything. but im going to guess that theres still at least a couple weeks of growing to be done yet. im curious to see what hapens with the bud development. its getting pretty frosty, but hasnt really started to smell much yet. i dont suppose anyone could speculate as to how much longer itll have to fatten up before harvest. since ive never grown this afghan kush ryder before i dont really know how close it sticks to the website grow times. website says 9 weeks to harvest. im hopng mine will go past that as i just cant see my buds getting that much bigger in just 7 days. but i also have nothing to compare to since its first grow. so guess in the end ill have to wait and see,lol.
but yeah heres just a quick non fancy pic, and i promise ill update with more pics when theres a little more to show .
theres a total of 8 colas on this plant, there would have been 9 but i broke one off a couple weeks ago when doinf some defoliating (palm slap) d"oh

You cant go by breeders times, as I've never had one finish on their stated times! Look for the pistils to change color, (with no new pistil growth), and look into getting a jewelry loupe to examine the trichomes!

I found this thread the one day where this dude hit a few points for me on exactly what to look at and when your plant is ready. Was mostly about switching your nutes in the cycles and what to look for exactly when switching. One of them he said never follow the suggested grow time from suppliers and he usually leaves it till like week 12. But even then like @Need4Weed said examine those Trichomes. Few places I have seen that you can pretty much also look at the trichomes to determine what kind of smoke you will end up at certain periods..longer you leave it the more couch lock feel to your smoke instead of a head high. Just rantig now. But there is some cool reads all around. Your plant is looking magical by the way!!!

yeah this is one case where i want it to go past breeder time, im in no rush so the longer it goes the more time my buds will have.

yeah man ive read very similiar info as well, on how different trich stages give a different type of high, i definitly prefer sedative couch lock type stone, so ill be going for mostly all amber trichs on my plant. joulers loup i still need to get, totally forgot to put one in the order when i ordered my cal mag and ph pen. oh well,lol. i know what it is i need to look for, im just more uncertian of how fast the flower stage progresses. since i jujst hit week 8. im hoping this plant will go past the 9 week breeeder time and maybe contiune to 10 r 11 weeks. the more time my buds have the better. and thanks for the compliment on my plant!

soooooo noone ever was kind enough to ofer me any adive as to my cal/mag question. perhaps it got misses. but can anyone tell me if i just add the cal/mag to my regular nutrient solution upon feeding? or do i have to give it another way? i recall reading somewhere that cal/mag has to be fed seperatly or something, which didnt make much sense to me.

Hey @jeffsos3000 , I use Cal Mag, and just add it to my standard nutrient mix (never had an issue). I use the Canna line up btw. I am a total newb, so you may want to consult with a more experienced grower that knows the type of nutes you are using, but I am fairly sure you just mix it in with your normal nutrient solution. I mix the Cal Mag in first, then the A+B, then the additives etc etc....
