OF and will cut it. I still have time to pick up new soil. Hoping the bean sprouts. Last one was gone. Waited a week and then dug it up and it was dead.

Not yet. Waiting for a germinated seed with tap root exposed to show what she`s made of and come out of soil. I placed her in the soil Wednesday evening. Hoping she says hello world soon.

Good Morning Everyone!
No sprouting yet. Put germinated seed in solo cup Wednesday night and as of 4:30am Central Standard time, nada. Hope she makes it through. I have no lights on her yet, just light misting twice a day as Blue mentioned. Hoping not another dud.

How are the temps??
Have you got a meter - if not it's the first thing you need to get. Sprouting a bean definately has a learning curve, but with the right temps and moisture - it will grow.
70f min (bit too cold) to 90f max (bit too hot)
I think there was some research that suggested 85f was about right.
If it's too cold where the pot is (is the pot sitting on cold concrete?) you can put a tube heater by it to warm up the soil. That'll help if it's too cold.

Also keep it moist - not sodden with water - when it's soaking, the root can just die.

Best to have a trawl through the seedbanks and see what they recommend. It is also great entertainment to see all the different AF's. Most seedbanks will give height among the options.

Well I planted the germinated seed Wednesday evening and just checked on her and she hasn`t sprouted yet. I`m getting disappointed that I have another dud. I know patience is key to growing. I have learned that, but maybe I`m doing something wrong. Once the tap root was exposed, I dropped her in MG Organic Seed Starter.
Love to get your feedback. Is it possible that a germinated seed is just bad? Wrong soil to start seeds?
