Howdy
Jackson! Welcome to AFN brother-

I see my buddy
Eek has been by to help get you introduced to the scene...

Lessee what you got cookin' here!
... Ah, rolling Old School with the honorable ancestor LR! Are these beans you've had for a while? If they're 3-+ years old, and not cold stored, they might have lost some viability, making for poorer, slower germ' rates.... Germ'ing them, there's several ways, but my mess-with-it-the-least way is to soak them in a little water overnight (no chlorine), then just plant direct into well moistened soil about 1cm deep, point end down more or less,...constant upper 70's low 80's temp. is best, cooler slows things way down, as does too hot; usually 3 days will see them starting to poke through... I mist the spot where planted to keep the soil at an even moisture level, never let it get dry, and avoid soaking the hell out of it too! transplanting is another subject of contention,.. done right, it's fine,...done wrong, it's FUBAR-

Avoid it by planting directly; if finish soil might be too hot, you can make a pocket of lighter soil in the center; take that 16oz cup and when filling up the big pot, set it in there so the tops are level, then just fill in around it, tamping lightly, then just lift it outta there-- voila'! a perfect pocket to fill light mix with! I like to use the 24oz cup, about 3/4 of the way deep for a bigger pocket,... ***..... strain choices will make your forhead collapse! Sooo many these days, but Mephisto has the superb quality and excellent pricing/generous bean counts (read extras) that can't be beat! Sweet is outstanding, Fastbuds too....Also, we have several in-house breeders with damn good stuff, some offering fem's too, at a very nice price (ask them)... GoAuto6/Terrestrial Bean Co and Magic Strains (several Dragon crosses-

)
....

fekkin' mold! ...that sucks Jack', did it happen on plant or after harvest? We can surely offer you tips on how to combat that crap! I had it try to hammer 4 plants last season, just before harvest

-- did a fair amount of snip-and-toss surgery, always painful... LOL! ... it's sneaky stuff, and spotting it early can be difficult if you don't see the early signs.... cool, still air and high RH are serious promoters of bud rot, so avoiding that is key... I like the 6" fans, with variable speed settings and have angle adjustments; clip on types are nice for flexible positioning; a gentle steady breeze is best, no buffeting direct blasting...
....

OF soil-- a word of caution about this: wisely, you cut it some with lighter soil, because it can be too hot for seedlings sometimes... of more concern is their ongoing issue with acidic soil pH!

I wish I could have caught you beforehand, and waved you off this brand,... some folks get OK bags, but many more seem to get sour ones, like low 5's pH acidic!

.. Do you have a means to get a soil pH taken? Low pH causes nutrient absorption problems, and will stunt the plant; also, it harms the important soil microbes, which when using organic nutes like you are, is doubly bad... many organic components need to be broken down by these microbes, in order to change them into absorbable forms,... It's fixable, or getting a different brand is worth considering... *Ah, I see the post about switching to Roots--

I recommend adding a bit more lime to it, as folks say it tends to get more acidic over time, likely because there's not quite enough put in,... Oh, what size and type pots are you using?
>>> here's a shot of a simple "ghetto" tent set-up I use for supplemental indoor lighting (I'm OD's grower)... the styro' reflective panels and foil-bubble wrap insulation are Home Depot cheap!
>>> :smoking:
Eek-- I don't get the red color in that menu bar, and mine says "new posts"

might be a browser to browser thing?
