New Grower New Start-Lowryder Mix

Well my baby did not show her head today. Got a bad feeling she's not gonna make it. I will give it a few more days and then start another one which is my last lowryder mix batch.

Good Morning All-

As I am attempting to grow my final Lowryder Mix seed, what strains are good for beginners? I`m getting ready to order again. I am looking for something relatively small and easy to grow. By the way, my current seed has not sprouted yet but its only 24 hours when I began the germinating process.

Thanks

Okay Okay,

I will get some more eyes on this.

What method are you using to germinate. Pardon me for not knowing, but I have been really busy for the last few months. So I am kinda refeeling my way through. I am a 51 year old guy, so I can feel yer pain somewhat in getting things going.

Are you going seed into soil? Paper towel method?

Maybe you can get some pictures of your set up. As far as a fan, a 12" Oscillating fan from wall mart works well. It is meant to be set at one of three speeds and left on. The risk is minimal, as long as you are not using old cords and such. Use the power strips with the reset swith. You know the kind that pop if they pull too much juice.

As far as strains, look into the forums. If you hit the "whats new" button up in the red banner at the top of the page, it will take you to threads that people are currently responding to. You can look for the names of strains in the titles, and then click on the name/link to the thread that you are interested in and have a look.

See what other's are growing and having success with, and ask as many questions to those folks as you like. It is easy to get to know people. You will find that others are starting or have started out the same way as you have. Myself included.

Peace

Good Morning Eekman .

Thanks for responding. I am using the paper towel method and the tap root exposed itself lastnight!

I placed her in Miracle Grow Organic Seed Starter cut with some perlite. Soil is moist but not soaked.

If and when she sprouts I will place her under a small CFL light until she begins to gain some leaves and then transplant her in Fox Farm Ocean Forest cut with 50/50 perlite.

As far as a fan, that will happen as soon as its ready.

I uncovered my previous seed and it never did anything. Kind of stayed brown and was dead.

I really appreciate your experience in helping me along the way.

I'm late to the party, Jckson. I'll be sub'd up to your thread and watching with interest! We will get ya growing trees before you know it! Anything I can do to help, just ask. Germing is a hit or miss starting out. Even the experienced growers have problems from time to time. I would look into the rooter cubes, personally. When done correctly, you can achieve 100% germination rates! Here is the link...
