Still on here doing research.Think I am about to order the rest of the supplies I need and give it a shot.Going with less is more for my first grow.Going to go with an organic ''hot'' soil on the bottom and a seedling friendly soil on top.Nutrients a top soil type organic.Maybe Build a soil top dress(?) and pot size I am thinking 10 gallon.Have one clip 6inch fan but might add a second(?)...hmmm.

1) Don't layer soils - root growth won't follow your layering strategy, and the different layers can create hydration issues when you water. (Except for top dresses, which don't count.)

2) A lot of people use starter plugs like Root Riots (here) with heavy soils. There was a good recent discussion (here) with tips for germinating in hot soils. (Just don't use cheap coco starter plugs with a peat-based soil :P )
